BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

On other threads, some ladies have mentioned, their OHs
would post, but had no interest in most of the threads on offer.
I can bump this thead twice a day,so its easy to find.
Give it a go---Richo.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Good idea, Dom, but I don't think they'll fit in my egg cuber.

I grew a square tomato once, just for giggles.

Been out and poisoned the huge Robinia saplings that are popping up from next door.

The ones up the unused side of the house were about 8 feet tall.  I had to chop them close to the ground and then poison the trunk.   Damn things stabbed me, too.

Used pretty near full strength poison on the mongrels too.

The net is full of forums talking about horrendous problems with these trees.

LOL at your egg cuber.

While looking at those square things this morning I found this - I actually had all the doings.

Watermelon - Kiwi Fruit - Ricotta Cheese - & - mint from the garden.

Was more fun to make & stack than actually eat - but so nice.

Used a small ice cube maker to squish the cheese into squares.

The passionfruit vine is giving heaps - so a quick dribble of that also.

OK - want clues with a square tomato - could throw a few here into conniptions.

I have been fighting Camphor Laurel here for years - some cost a heap to get rid of - full grown - now squirt the little buuuggars the minute I see a leaf.

Oh neighbours.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Arvo everyone,

Richo,

No chance of wifey seeing an blood in my hair, I wash it every night.

Pretty sure I have gotten away with it.

Have been busy today, mowed the lawn, done the usual leaf blowing and trimmed back some of wifeys plants.

All injury free Smiley Very Happy

Stawks,

You will tear your hair out, I bought another pair of shoes this morning.

They look like a running shoe but steel capped, and yes, they are black.

I was going to buy 2 pairs so I can rotate them, but wifey laid down the law before I left to go and get them.

The neighbour, a long story.

I haven't heard from him yet, But..........

I had to speak with a neighbour who is diagonally behind me about a tree that has grown over the yard

and clothes line area of the house next door after the tenants mentioned it to me.

(Another long story, but briefly, our sons technically own the place and wifey is the trustee, that's why I am forever doing paperwork,

on top of that  I am trustee for a property that our youngest son owns, and again more paperwork, is all very complicated)

He and I are going to cut the tree back in a week or two.

Anyway, this neighbour tells me that the one I sent the letter to came to see him, having a whinge about me sending him a

registered letter. I explained to this guy about the problems we, and my good neighbour were having.

I got the impression that at some stage this guy has had problems with the neighbour as well.

However, they are on speaking terms.

I have not had a lot to do with this neighbour, but turns out this dude is some legal specialist in the insurance industry.

He has offered to speak with the guy behind us about the issues we are having..

It gets me thinking, what I plan to do (when I see him next) is to ask him if would be prepared to talk with the guy behind

and set up a meeting, and also if he would be interested in attending the meeting as a type of mediator.

I spoke my good neighbour who also signed the letter, and thinks it's a good idea.

So I am going to ask.

I'm hoping he will accept, as this may have some advantages.

One being that the neighbour won't feel out numbered

(because he has spoken to this guy about the letter I sent)

Also I think this guy will pull up the other guy if he starts to be unreasonable,  and would be constructive,

as the other day he said that as neighbours, we all need to try and resolve things that affect us all, which I agree with.

I don't want to end up in formal mediation or a court, but if I have to, I will take that step.

Will see what happens.

Have good night everyone Smiley Happy,

have someone coming for dinner tonight so will say good night.

More black shoes. headthump.gif    Do you have room in the cupboard you built?

Good luck with the neighbours.

I have a pita neighbour on the other side with fruit trees messing up my path, make it a

trip/slip hazard, and warping the fence.

But they've moved out, and I'm unsure if the people in there are owners or tenants.

Can't get them to answer the door.   Been trying for months.  They don't use the front door, and the gate is locked.

Have a great dinner and tell us tomorrow what you cooked.

Dom, I just tied my egg cuber around a small growing tomato.

When it was square and filled the container, I picked it.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

Stawks, I might build another cupboard for my foot wear.

Just kidding.

I moved a pair of my older work boots to the floor in the built in.

The trees and shrubs,

my father in-law, was a shocker. He would plant all sorts of trees, mainly fruit (yuk) around the fencing

then the poor neighbours were forever having to trim them, one neighbour paid to repair a fence that some

fruit tree had damaged.

The block of land was huge, it could have been subdivided, and the remainder of the property still had room

for a dual occ. He preferred to have an orchard.

Another place we lived at, we owned the block next door, prior to us building on it,

father in-law had said a few times, that we should build a trellis  and grow Cochos. Yeh right.

Off to shower and help wifey,

Nite.
