Good evening everyone,
Phew, one busy arvo & night,
Got the furniture home and as usual a heap of wrapping.
I was expecting this, and yesterday when we buying the stuff I said they have a deal providing
we can dump all the packaging back to them.
They agreed.
Unloaded the ute, and unpacked everything next to it, then threw all the rubbish back into the tray.
Tomorrow will dump it back at the shop, which is less than 10mins away.
Stawks & Lyh,
a lot of our furniture we have had for 25+ years, apart from the beds & lounge.
Wifey has been patient, and a few months back she wanted to start replacing things,
and we started with the lounge, Tv cabinet, and side board & coffee tables.
Have now bought new dining room chairs, and chest of draws for the main bedroom.
They match the other items we bought not so long ago, plus a lamp table for wifey to put her scented candles on
Luckily the dinning room table is a close match to the recent purchases.
My plan is to use the old chest of draws in the bedroom where my desk is. They are still in reasonable nick.
And speaking of my desk /office/ retreat or sulking room,
some nights I sleep in there and didn't like the bed.
The mattress is good quality, but never liked the ensemble base.
Seeing as we were getting other things, I demanded a new base (actually, I begged, pleaded and grovelled)
Got the timber one that matches the other stuff and has a bedhead with shelf, so I can store the Tv remotes.
Plan to rearrange the room tomorrow and move the bed to the centre of the room.
Will move my footwear shelving and filing cabinet behind the bed head,
and put the old chest of draws where my footwear was.

I laugh everytime when you mention the Count

Good morning Richo & to others,
Sunny day with a cold breeze.
Richo, we really needed to update some of the things in the home.
Have never liked the dining chairs, being that they are woven cane & high backed.
We were given the setting from a relative of wifeys who owned a furniture store.
It was a display set and we only wanted the timber table, but the deal was that we had to take the lot.
Heading out to dump the rubbish back at the store, they open at 10.
