nicnacs,my heart goes out to you.

I’ve also gone through that awful sense of compounded loss; a few days ago it was the 3rd anniversary of much-loved family member’s death. The correlation with wedding anniversary is a month.

August is the month of sorrow for us both…

I am sure your husband would know how much you cared about him, and would also know you could only let him go because of that love.

Homity Pie?  Never made one, but then I'm no fan of spinach.

If you are seeing 2 birds in the box and one is asleep you can't be watching 'live'

Underneath the red line is the word 'live' click on that.

The time in the top left should be the same as ours.

I make it on regular rotation as daughter is vegetarian. You don't really taste the spinach. I find the baby leaves wilt down to almost nothing. Yesterday's was a triumph if I may say so. It varies according to my choice of sharp cheeses.

I'ma  sucker for anything with potatoes, pumpkin or leeks in it.

I just realised that yesterday can't have been 2 birds, it was just one bird with a fat wing. I thought it was a smaller, headless looking bird sitting next to it. I had a look today on my phone (not logged in as I can never recall the password for ebay. Or I did once but I have forgotten again. Anyway, it was 15 minutes behind. No idea why.

Tonight on computer it is up to date to the second.

At the small waterhole it is daylight and booming. Those things with 2 long horns are out having a party there.

Re: BLOKES THREAD-aimed at blokes-shielas welcome.

I’ve had a painful neck and headache since yesterday; it’s a bit relieved after using a heat pack on the back of my neck but then I immediately noticed pain across my shoulder blades and upper back! Preliminary assumption: that pain was being ignored by my brain while the worse neck and head pain demanded attention.

I decided to have a G&T; mulberry gin splashed lightly into a lovely bulbous gin glass and plenty of chilled tonic water added. Refreshing and delicious.

Yesterday was Ichabod Sebastien’s last antibiotic. He bore it very well… but I somehow felt that he missed having water squirted into his mouth with the syringe. He wasn’t touching his water bowl. I hesitated, looked at his syringe, looked at him, then filled the syringe with water and held it up to him. He looked at it, looked at me, waited to see what I’d do. If he could talk, I’d swear he was saying “Go ahead, water me.”

So I did; I held his mouth, got the syringe into his mouth without so much as a squirm, and brought down the plunger on the syringe. Ichabod swallowed, looked up at me and kept waiting. I refilled the syringe and gave him another dose of water.

He likes it. Good grief.
