Good morning richo, Linda, Purple, jv and all ... everyone's in early today ... or am I late?
Don't let people get to you richo. If they annoy you, feel sorry for them.
Linda, just watch the hidden weekly fees a retirement village charges. Some of them are astronomical for gardening and maintenance. I think privacy is as you want it. You can either join in every social event or pick and choose. Good luck with the sale.
Very pleased your ulcers have cleared up purple ... I must admit I was starting to get a bit concerned about them. You did ask about the ring binders - I have bought them for both kids but haven't actually used them yet. Haven't started Milla's and all James pages are still in the old ones - must transfer them soon.
2 of my cousins have skin cancers removed periodocally jv. They have fair skin and in the old days, it was considered cool to have a tan.
Off for my walk soon then home to shower for the docs. Fingers crossed. I feel well.
Have a great ...

Good morning everyone...
Sandy good luck at the dr.
Linda.......my MIL before she went to live with her daughter, her & her hubby, lived in a retirement village, they liked it, was one of the better run ones down on the Mornington Peninsular.
Make sure you find out ALL there is to know about the place, and remember if you decide to sell, you do not get anywhere near, what you paid for back.
Have fun looking though.
Cant remember what you said JV, sorry......but hope you feel better & have a good day.
Richo, hope you day is good as well.
BBL.

I know even though the unit is strata title, there are still hefty fees, doesn't matter if you use the facilities or not, you still pay. I am really only doing this for the little sister. It's not my thing, to actually mix with others and be sociable, hahaha.
JV specialists take forever to get into and charge like wounded bulls.
Purple, no ulcers, whoo hoo. You must be pleased to be finally rid of them.
Richo time for an RDO methinks. LOL

Afternoon all ๐
Yes Linda fun looking at all the stuff on the market when you least expect it you are going to find what is just right for you
Yes i can remember that the retirement place i looked at the outgoings were 170.00 per week......which is a lot of dough to find each week week in week out......great amenitities pool etc but possibly wouldnt use most of it........guess its what you want out of life lol I love shutting myself away or grabbing the cameras and heading out with the dog
Richo might be like the Linda said heading off for a couple of RDOS you dont get thanks for sticking around and putting up with whatever
Purps am getting there bit by bit with my health......some days i feel ok the others like whatever...and yes the specialists im going to are very expensive not like my little local gps who all bulk bill thank goodness:)

Hi Linda. I'm sure you know what you are looking for - I hope you find it. We talk to our neighbours when we see them but have never been into their units. I think it's best that way. There are only 3 units in our block so no real body corporate rules - all we pay to the body corporate is for public liability insurance for the common property which is around $200 pa. We all take turns mowing the common lawn and Frank keeps the garden in order. We are having a meeting soon about others doing some weeding from time to time.
Purple, have a look at this site for scrapbooking supplies. This is where I bought Milla's album which was discounted and I have since bought some paper for 90c sheet - it was Kaiser double sided so a big difference.

Went good at the drs. Sugar average was still under 6 (just) which is still in the non diabetic range. He also cut my blood pressure tablet in half but ordered a bone density scan because of breaking the bones. No one else knows as I don't want this health kick about weight because it is about diabetes but I have lost 22kgs since January - if I keep off the sugar and fats and walk it helps both. Still got a fair way to go though. Another 10 would be good. I have just had a chocolate biscuit as a treat for being good but no more as we are going away again in a few weeks and that's always a temptation.
If richo gets out and about with his job, I bet he enjoys it - being on his own and visiting a few oppies. It's probably being locked inside with some annoying people that bugs him!
A bit of trivia - we got 2 eggs today. We have been getting 1 for a week or so.
Off to prepare some vegies for dinner. BBL ..

Hi Richo, JV, Sandy & Linda.
Thanks for the s/booking site, I will have alook in a minute.
JV...these specialists know how to charge, dont they.......I tell OH, he should have been a specialist, solicitor, dr. or vet..........then we wouldnt have to worry about money.........he was a bus driver, and they dont make that much.
Sandy, good that your b/pressure was okay, my b/pressure is always low, even though I drink plenty of water.
Linda, the ret. villiage my MIL was in, there were heaps of activities, plus a huge pool and craft room, but they had to pay for things they didnt use, which was a bit tough and then there was the upkeep of the grounds, it was a huge place, they each had to pay for that, there was so many things that increased in $$$ over the yrs.
It wasnt too bad at first, but then they wanted more $$ for this and that.
My first hubby and me lived in a unit that had a body corperate when we first got married........never again, hated it, prefer to have a house.
Richo, hope all is well with you.....
Goodnight, see you all tomorrow.
