I hope everyone who is suffering will be feeling much better soon.
I feel blessed at the moment (touch wood) that I feel great. No gout, no nothing at present.
I have had a relatively good week. Maybe if I share some photos people may enjoy it. I went to Lume in the city recently (Monday). Son and his family are up in Cairns so I had the day off from child minding.
And what a beautiful, sunny day it was. My friend and I went in by train and a nice walk to the exhibition centre, to see some of the works and story of Vincent Van Gogh.
It was quite good but not as good as the Leonardo Da Vinci exhibit I went to see some time ago.
This time the gallery was empty. I thought they could have least have popped a few big prints of some of his artwork around.
Anyway, we sat in the cafe section (front row) with a nice hot coffee and carafe of water and watched the show.
People could have a go at copying the diagram from a video but I chose not to. I can copy, but I need lots of time and make lots of mistakes. Art isn't a talent of mine, put it that way.

I was surprised actually to read Van Gogh sold very little in his own lifetime. Admittedly he died very young.
But such wonderful work, I wish I could go back and knock some sense into the ancestors and make a couple of suggestions for investments.๐คฃ

Sorry Springy - not into AI.

Most of it was just projections of his work plus copies of things he wrote.

Just have to ask - what is it with people lying around all over the place.
Having visited the Museum of Modern Art NYC - Starry Night.
Priceless.
Even though it was one of many done by him.

I think it was because some of the projection went up on high walls. Just checked-not on the ceiling but from those couches, probably they can see the walls very well. Not sure as I didn't try one.
For myself, I know last time I found the lack of seating a bit annoying. There was a bit more this time.
But (just my opinion) a lot of the seating they provide is not overly comfortable and the 'show' if you want to call it that, lasts about an hour before it begins to repeat.
Best option is definitely to head to the cafe, order a coffee or whatever and watch in comfort.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums.
There's a Mum's Day feast at daughter's tonight.
It's a meal that's always been known in the family as a 'Grandma Tea' - it's a set menu with roast chicken and sides (not your usual ones). Outsiders are often surprised.
This dinner started with my MIL in the 1970's and is continuing with my grandies cooking the same meal.
3 generations of mums, with the whole famn damily being there tonight.
Looking forward to all being together, wining and dining.

We drove up to Beechworth yesterday to have Mother's Day with the rest of the family. It was an early start to the day (rising at 6), but I made sure that I wasnโt sleepy. There were two โpain stopsโ along the way.
It was a gorgeous day in all ways.
Good grief, the days are darkening early! We left at 4 pm, and that still meant an hour and a half of driving on unlit lonely roads after the light had completely vanished.
