Would you believe they are trying to stop children at pre school blowing out candles because they might blow saliva onto the cake ?
I think it would be a lot worse in an aged care facility when someone turns 100, the mind boggles.

Can we please just for a while keep politics out of this thread ? there are umpteen dozen threads about politics where you can mention JG or TA.
Sorry Newstart, I didn't realise that we couldn't say who the THEY are.
No problems and I love talking politics, but a bit over it at present and thought this thread may take peoples thinking in a different direction just for a while

MO is i think it is crazy, i used to take birthday cake for my DD at school, but now she is older don't do it but there is still other parents who do
i see it it is no different than kids taking fruit in to share for fruit breaks.

Zero germ tolerance for kids. Sterile environment. No playing near dirt, no sharing anything, super clean stainless steel surroundings cleansed hourly.
Then when they release the superbug, the targets will be easy prey. No tolerance to disease at all.
All part of the big plan.

We do that... but we have rules about clean hands, no licking until the cake is in the oven..............
but then most of my grandchildren are clean freaks.... only 2 of them wouldn't care.

well, yes, I do.:8}
We tend to avoid community food though, we have gluten issues with 2 children and one has anaphylactic reaction to kiwi fruit and blueberries.

OK az you have every right to put your kids in a sterile bubble, you can roll them to school and plug them into their own personal free from germ and viruses oxygen tank. Teachers with rubber gloves can give them their work (sanitized) through the openings and speak to them through hygienic speakers. At recess they can be rolled into the playground and there they sit and watch all the other children play and have fun, eat birthday cake and get some germs on them.

Sorry to disappoint you.... they all go to mainstream schools, have accidents like everyone else, eat food, drink from their own water bottles, sit with children who have colds etc....... plenty of germs around, no need to spit on their food 😛
