Baden Clay Trial

Allison Baden Clay Murder 2 years ago

I was reading up on this today, as the trial started Monday.

The senior Baden Clay was on the stand today and gave evidence about something his wife told him about his daughter in law..................................I thought they usually objected and called that heresay?

Don't they do that in Australia? have I watched too many American crime shows?

Re: Baden Clay Trial

The pre-trial (police) documents and statements are very interesting.

Re: Baden Clay Trial

I would think police monitor forums where info like that is written and it would not be difficult to find them.

there was a trial being talked about here recently. The mods locked it saying something about a high profile crime? Of course my brain wont let me remember it but I started a thread asking what makes one crime more high profile than another nd some can and some cant be talked about.

So in my rambling what Im trying to say is yep, threads can be locked for being discussed here but with no explanation as to why

I don't think it was a trial, Chuk, it was about  the arrest of Roger Rogerson.

Mon 16 june

10:33am: Mr Baden-Clay Snr told the court his daughter-in-law's depression manifested in various ways throughout her depression.
He said she often wore "dull colours" - black, brown and cream - which he believed to be an indication of her mood throughout the marriage.

I think that is a very strange assumption.

Re: Baden Clay Trial

It certainly is weird for him to think like that.

Re: Baden Clay Trial

Not necessarily IF he was observant and had taken note of his DIL's "pattern" during her times of depression, otherwise, it is an odd thing to say.

Re: Baden Clay Trial

I also read that the house they lived in had no curtains or blinds in the living room, so how was the room darkened?

Re: Baden Clay Trial

The BC parents said G & A asked them early on in their marriage, not to call in unless they phoned first. IF A wasn't feeling too good and lying in a darkened room, why would G or A say Yes to visitors coming around?

They may clear that up later az.. About the house having drapes or blinds or not.
