That's right debra. He tried using a carrier pigeon but it was cut down by a wind turbine. He had to resort to fax because he'd run out of clay tablets too.

Bill Shorten himself was much more generous and spoke with grace and dignity in his tributary speech about the departure of Tony Abbott.

As heard on the AJ Breakfast show this morning. I'll put it up later for those that'd like to listen to him speaking with AJ about it this morning.

Here it is:

Re: Bah bye Tone

There were a number of parting tributes during question time [ Abbott appears to be more well liked by his peers  now that he's gone.]There were also a number of congratulatory speeched directed at Malcolm. The ever Gracious Tony Abbott seemed to have left that out of his farewell speech - you know, the congratulations to your successor etc. He was absent from QT [has he forgotten that he still has constituents that he is supposed to be representing?] but I did notice a white rose taped to the microphone where he will be sitting when he does return.

I am so glad that Abott is no longer the Prime Minister even if it does make it more likely that the LNP will win the next election. He was a discredit to the prime ministership and did more harm than good. The sending of a fax to the GG shows what a disrepectful and contemptuous person he really is. Good riddance.

Now, to see how Malcolm shapes up.

Re: Bah bye Tone

Abbott is a sore loser. He's no longer the PM. He no longer sits on the front bench. History will not look at him kindly. Bye, bye, Tony, bye, bye.Worst Prime Minister ever. Hockey's days are numbered, too. I noticed during question time, yesterday, that instead of referring to Turnbull as Prime Minister, he referred to him as the Member for Wentworth. Another disrespectful buffoon.

Bye, bye Tony, bye, bye.

As I said before. Tony Abbot is a honourable and good man, all his colleague's and even his enemies say that. His problem was he just couldn't communicate the superb job the government is doing and he was a victim of nervous back benchers eyeing their future.

The comments on here from the left is just what we have all come to expect.
