Bali 9 duo are being moved to an island in central Java

Didn't they know how much pain this would cause their mothers? Dealing with drugs just isn't worth it.

Time to man up and face your destiny. Nobody lives forever.

We expect to live a much longer than 33-35 years though.

I'm sure they were well aware of the punishment in Indonesia if caught. Why risk your only precious life?

Would you play Russian roulette for real? It is the same thing if you shoot when the bullet is there you're gone. Essentially this is what they did. They went to a death penalty country and dealt with drugs. No amount of cash $$$ is ever enough for your life, I just don't get it why they did this. Greed? come on how can you risk your life for greed?  What is wrong with getting a job and working to earn a living?

Every now and then we hear cases just like this happening all around the world, sadly people never learn.

Too harsh

Not really when you put it into perspective of the lives lost due to drugs:

Teenager dies, another man critical, after A State of Trance festival at Sydney Olympic Park:

THE father of a teenager who died from a drug overdose at an all-night dance party has questioned why authorities allowed raves where drug taking was widespread to take place.

Police are investigating if Tolga Toksoz, 19, had been involved in a dangerous Russian roulette style game of seeing who could take the most MDMA pills with his friends when he collapsed at the A State of Trance party at Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday night.

Or the parents of young men who have died at the hands of people influenced by a cocktail of drugs, steroids and alcohol. Who wake up the next day in police lock-up and don't even realise what they've done.

I can't help  thinking the anti death penalty  lot are very lucky its only 2 of those 9 being executed, the amount they were carrying it could well have been the lot of them .None of them were addicts themselves as far as I know  so it was just greed

I am anti death penalty, for many reasons, however, I don't consider myself "lucky"

Any death penalty, to me is wrong.

Were any of them addicts? I have no idea.

Providing we don't smuggle drugs into countries with the death penalty for that activity, that is.

There seems to be a bit of inequality between drug crimes and terrorism..........................and the penalty. How many of the Bali bombing terrorists were executed? how many are free already? how many will be freed?

When you're only about 20 your perception is different too.  There is more of a won't happen to me, just once or twice won't hurt type of attitude, especially within a group.    When you're 20 35 seems a lifetime away.

The parents and families of these people are the most hurt.  Their pain will continue after the deaths.  I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I feel for Scott Rush's father and wonder if he wishes he had made a different choice.

I wonder if anyone has ever escaped from that jail, I'm sure they have thought about it.

I agree with you Gleee young people think they are invincible, they never think anything's going to happen to them. I also feel sorry for the families

as for escaping UFO. they said they could've escaped but it would've been a death sentence for the others if they did
