On this day in 1966 our Australian Soldiers fought in the Battle of Long Tan, we lost fine young men and many more were injured

RIP all those Australians that died that day, and the many that have died since.

Battle of Long Tan

My OH is going to a 50 year reunion in Brisbane next month and one of his old mates has no arms or legs - he stood on a land mine in Nam.  His best mate from school has mental problems and is a hermit - he had to shoot someone close up or be shot himself.  He can hardly live with himself.  As well as death, there are a lot of people still suffering.

I probably needed to be awake when I typed that.

I had the light bulb moment after I had gone to bed.

My apologies

No Apology is needed, your kind and sincere Thoughts of Those who served and paid the Supreme Sacrifice, is enough. And Those who are still with us.
