Hi sin, yes, doing well, thank you 🙂
no, not everyone was perfect, that is the thing. People are human. They have bad days, get careless, get tired.
mistakes happen. In a commercial environment, that can be ruinous for those who have an investment in the business. Financial or emotional. Nothing bad ever happened in any restaurant he owned, no fights, no food poisoning...because in the main, he had good people.
but it wasn't like that everywhere. A few years ago, there was a mass food poisoning at a large Christmas function in a major local hotel.
commercial establishments have a great responsibility, to hire trained staff, and maintain a high standard. That, unfortunately, doesn't always happen.
home cooks, can make their own decisions about how they want to cook, clean, and what food to buy and how to prepare it. Because in the end, they are responsible for themselves, not the public. There is a great deal of trust that a commercial place will be well run, and clean, and provide a good meal. I'm sure you have seen enough shows like Kitchen Nightmares (I think that is what it is called), to know what a disaster can lie behind the scenes.
I go out all the time. I don't think about what could be going wrong, I enjoy it. I have been sick a couple of times, I just don't go back there.

Martini's are what it should be about. Gimlets are nice too.
Raymond Chandler: a gimlet should be half gin and half Rose's Lime 🙂

pepe,i don't know who you are,but i'm as far from a mini me as you can get, except for being short. amber and i have talked before, and unlike you,she took my questions seriously. it's what adults do,you know? if you wish to confront me,please do so via PM,not on the board, okay? 🙂
thank you for your CIVIL response ,amber,i appreciate it.
and if i may ask,do you have classes online or in person that home cooks can take, like we have here? when i teach,i require those before i give my students their "gold star",lol! and i guess i should ask if you have the "free university" classes available here?
or the kind of thing i teach, for people with special needs who are getting ready to live in a group home,or on their own?or for children? i love teaching kids,it's a blast!!! but they take the class too,or no certificate from mamabarri. 😄
i haven't had the chance to ask crikey about that, since she's a busy woman right now. 🙂
