Bluetooth

I have to take some photos off my wife's phone - she hasn't got any cables and can't buy them anymore.

She has Bluetooth on her phone - I have set the phone's bluetooth to activation ON and Visibility ON.

I bought a USB / Bluetooth dongle for my PC.

I am running Windows98.

I have put the dongle into one of my USB ports - the comuter recognises it.

I have done a scan on the phone - it says no devices found.

There's obviously something I have to do on the PC - but .... Where do I go from here????

TIA

What type of phone is it? or what type of cable connection on the phone?

Does it take a mini SD memory card by any chance?

If the phone uses wifi you could upload them to google drive then download them to computer.

it's a Samsung SGH-F480T

Does your computer have a card reader? You could save the images to SD card and shift that way if it does.

It looks like the phone fits a mini USB cable. They're easy to replace if that's the case.

Bad luck, no wifi.

Re: Bluetooth

Or if no card reader, how about saving to micro SD card and then put the card into your phone to transfer the photos.

No card reader in PC. I've asked at Telstra shop, Dick Smith and 2 computer shops for cable - took the phone in so they could have a look - all of them say they haven't got cables because the phone is so old. Maybe they're just trying to sell us a new phone.

Anyway, thanks all.

Re: Bluetooth

This may sound a bit odd - I have found replacement cords at pawn shops as they tend to have older model phones....
