Have any unauthorized boats carrying people with the intent to seek asylum in Australia arrived in the past few weeks?

If Mr Rudd and Ms Gillard were interested in stopping the arrivals, then perhaps they could have stopped providing information as well?
Maybe they just didn't think about this tactic?
Ms Gillard managed to make and change quite a few laws, why didn't she stop the opposition from speaking/reporting?
Has Mr Abbott done this? Or has he just introduced a policy where nothing official would be released from his offices. Has he prevented the opposition from reporting any information that they may be in possession of?

Nice spin.

What was Mr Rudd's plan?
That artical made a few suggestions for why the secrecy works.
I thought the lifeboats were so the people could be returned safely, otherwise if we just turned their broken boats back and set them adrift, people wouldn't think that was very nice, and it would probabl;y breach all kinds of laws.
I think it would come under a duty of care.
How do you know they are still coming (I believe they may be, but I do believe that we haven't had any recently) seen videos on You Tube? Received messages from a carrier pidgeon? The CIA?

@donnashuggy wrote:Yes, it is now a hide the boats policy. It's funny how some are asking for proof, that is extremely funny ๐
mr Abbott may be able to hide the fact that a boat arrived, but he cannot hide the fact that one left.
So, has anyone provided proof that boats have left and are now unaccounted for?

she didn't simply because its wrong to keep the public in the dark . news ltd papers would have paid for the information and released it anyway as part of the destabilization program they were running. in abbotts case they are cooperating as he's their boy.

''What was Mr Rudd's plan?''
what you see now, without the secrecy and endangerment of push- backs.

he and gillard both advocated a regional centre for proccessing. abbott n morrison are hoping to do the same, but they need to wait for their apologies to malaysia (for one) to be accepted properly. they could have been a lot further along if they didn't play interference for years.

Crikey, you posted in this thread:
That was a clear example of the government not telling us, how did it stop the boats by not telling us? If it was not leaked can the government be trusted to tell us the truth? To me that is the big issue, they cheered when boats arrived under labor, now the shoe is on the other foot they are not telling us.
