My opinion is there is alot going on with this, that they are not telling us, they appear to be covering something up...........surely with all the boats and aircraft out there looking, something must have been found.
Feel so sad for the families of those missing, the waiting must be dreadful.

that looks like a VERY stressful job!
You're right. I once considered being an ATC....High pay, great benifits and retirement plan. It was well known to be stressful and the thought of being responsible for all those lives....
It made number 7 on the list of most stressful job.....working parent #1 (after clocking out....you clock back in!)

As an air traffic controller you have to be paying attention 100% the entire time.

sheheffalump :
Flight plans are not and cannot be changed by radar - they are changed by pilots, usually on the instructions of flight controllers.
...............................................................................................................................................................................................................
We/I did not post or suggest that anyone was attempting or had changed the flight plan/s.
suggest you read properly......"Flight Radar Caught Changing Flight Path of Malaysia Flight"
*tsk tsk tsk*....you of all people she-H!

.."Flight Radar Caught Changing Flight Path of Malaysia Flight"
Radar cannot change a flight path, any more than it can change a flight plan - it simply detects the flight path on which the plane is flying - and that is set by the pilot, usually on the instructions of a flight controller.

"<----- retired US military tactical air controller"
Retired UK military tactical fighter controller, ATC controller, UK military pilot, UK and Aus civil pilot: this thread is codswallop.
Do you realise what would be involved in changing historical data records for a surveillance radar site P007?
Your post 2 reads like something from a comic book, and written by someone with no practical aeronautical knowledge (PS the ceiling of a B777-200 is well below 49,000 feet)
If you want to allege an evil conspiracy you should know the technical aspects associated with the topic.

From the start, I read that as the flight path changing, and was caught by radar.
