> JV, I also have had the battle and won, over BC. We really should have our own symbol ,for people who have come out the other side, shouldn't we? as a message of hope for those who are currently having treatment or putting off having it.

Hugs Karen and i totally agree with you.......it has changed me deeply and profoundly.....life is for living etc etc.

How long for you....7.5 years here although have had two other scares so am thinking seriously after Mother passes of having the chop on that side as well:) Cant go through the stress of having the lumps popping up at will:(

13 years for me JV. ๐Ÿ™‚ Lots of scares in between but they passed me by!
I am changed, yes. I am also feeling blessed that I was here to meet my grandchildren. I try to make the most of every day and I am more content now.
I think you must do what you think is right for you. ๐Ÿ™‚

hey all, my aunty died from BC, very sad, she also left it too late..I think maybe she found the lump and was too scared to go to the docs..

I have had a really long day so far, I am extremely tired and just wanna go lie down for a while...but there is a workman here doing some repairs so I guess that, that is out..

just started preparing some tuna patties for tea, so will cook those later,

O.K hope you are all ok, will pop back in later!

Re: COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

> Good Morning all :-x
>
> Went to a funeral Monday my great Uncle he was the last of his siblings all 9 of them felt really sad and envious of him you know like going up there to meet everyone like my Mum and Dad his Mum etc. Felt upset all Monday night thinking about it than a cool breeze blew in from the window and gently ruffled the sheet I had on top of me I imagined it was my Mum and Dad reassuring me somehow, silly I know. After the funeral we all sat around a pub and talked about old times with my cousins. Never see them any other time except at funerals I told them all I'd be next for the box.
> Hope u r all well PCT it will be great to see ya in June ๐Ÿ™‚

Re: COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

My mum's sister died from breast cancer about 25 yrs ago. She was raising 7 children and didn't seek treatment... she was too busy and who would care for her family? The end result was the same but a horrible end for her.
Her other sister also had it 20 yrs ago but had treatment early and survived to be a now elderly woman.
Awareness is the answer, with early treatment at the first inkling! A loving, lovely family helped too!
