I know Gran thats my mothers mother used to soak the fruit that she used to put into the apples in brandy.

That looks like a fab receipe.............have got to try it...and of course put another roll on a jelly roll:):)

We are so spoilt here and ususally cop say 3 weeks tops of cool weather..........where we have to put on a jacket:)

Good morning all.

Up early this morning and feeling tired. Still working on the ute. Boy it really is a big job. Now it has to have the rear axle bearings replaced. Then should be as good as new.

Well the daughter in law from hell is striking again. The nastiness is coming thick and fast. Some of it is so unbelievabe. Enough to make me angry and I have been so laid back lately. So what do I do? Go see my son at his workplace and ask him to do something? Doubt that would work as he is spineless and is scared of her. Yeah great man I raised there. Or do I go see a solicitor and get them to write her a letter? Loath to spend any money in relation to her. Or just ignore as we have been doing. She is so nasty and I actually got a email from someone warning me about her. She made their lives miserable for a long time. Also she is wanted for assault in N.S.W. If I was to list her all the things she has said I would have a book. Oh well got it off my chest a bit. Sorry for the scroller. I am just so over her and her garbage. I am so disappointed in my son. He even called his five year old a liar to save his own skin. So sad.

Well I plan to have a nice relaxing day. Although will try to move the camper further under the tree. R just never seems to take time to check the best location. But that is just him. He is too impatient.

Purple so sorry regards your daughter in law - perhaps your son is just at his wits end doesn't know how to proceed? Are you able to just ignore her and hope she goes away? Glad you have your trips to focus on - stay positive!

Dinner last night was lovely - we had champagne before we left the house (2 for me - 1 for the driver LOL) - and I was spoiled with beautiful flowers/cards and a gift voucher. Hope everyone has a wonderful day! BBL!

hi all,
well its been rather hectic here for the last week or so, have had root canal which resulted in an infection,, mind you it has taken a while to get to the root canal stage...had to have other work done first, broke my middle toe, and have been trying to do my tax return, and organizing little things like getting the new curtain up and getting the smoke alarms checked...

Hi JVH, Miss, Dancing, PJ Bear, Karen, PCT, Scatty, Libby, Nefertiti, Chit Chat and anyone else I forgot......it seems like such an epitaph all those names being mentioned:^O

Well, we fly out at 3pm today. All packed and just waiting for the time to tick over. Am looking forward to a break (not literally). Lets just hope we don't get quarantined with swine flu.
