Hi Missnogal...........and yes we went to three retirement places.......all very nice with lovely amenitities....etc etc......but all with huge exit fees......unbelievable......so its back to the drawing board. Never thought it would be so hard:(

Popped in to see Mother very briefly and no change........so am totally jiggered after such a huge day:(

Good morning jvh,sounds like you had a very tiring day yesterday,what about down sizing to a unit instead,my mum and dad did that a few years ago when it got to difficult for my dad to get up and down the stairs.They moved into a group of 4 units and have been very happy.

We have a very overcast day here today with rain forcasted as well.

Hope you and Dancing enjoy the lovely sunshine,my little princess wants to make lamingtons so will get my little man to bed and start baking.

JVH - glad you have the house to yourself - enjoy the sunshine! My mother also downsized to a unit (only 3 on the property - no body corporate) and it is so beautiful and she is so happy with it!

Hi miss, jvh, sactty, libby, nef, dancing and all others that lurk......I have
been very lazy with not posting lately.

We are having our youngest 21st party at home on Saturday night so have been busy organising everything. At least it is not forecast to rain so that is a bonus.

JVH...I am so glad you and hubby have got over the flu and that you have been able to get back into visiting with your Mum.

Nef.....keep your chin up and when you are not looking for a job it will just appear.

Miss....get well soon, any bug is not nice to have.

My Mum and Dad are still in the family home and I don't think they will move out as it was my Mums family home, so there are lots of memories there.

Will let you all know how the party goes.
