Re: COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

Good morning to the thread:)
I am off to visit some of my seniors today:)
They are looking forward to the pension increase soon and have plans to have a couple of treats:) God bless em:)
I have a surprise for one of my oldies due to the generosity of a friend, I have been able to acess a small air con for her lounge and have found a tradie to install it for a carton of the amber fluid, so I am a happy lil vegemite today:)
Mr Beam is painstakingly getting all of the old tint off the Chillie Beast and boy is it a job, I am going to have a shot at it later on:(
I hope everyone has a lovely day
God bless and take care:)

Re: COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

Morning Everyone,
Well we may have some bad news regarding Mr 18,he was limping after the game on Saturday but had iced his ankle,he thought he had twisted it whilst playing.Yesterday morning he couldn't put any pressure on it so i rang his work experience people to let them know he had hurt it,and i was taking him to the Dr's.He had x-rays and the Dr thinks it's broken but the radiologist thinks it's not so he now has to have a cat scan tomorrow to determine wether it is or not:-( but what makes me really mad is he hasn't let the work experience people know what is going on I think he expects me to do it for him, which i'm not . The boy is 18 and old enough to take some responsibility for his future employment, he thinks he has blown his chances with it all, but the people who organised it say he hasn't Yet.It's all really frustrating as a mother i want to rush in and make everything right for him but this is a lesson he has to learn himself.

Jvh i'm glad your mum is so much more comfortable what a releif for you Big Hugs.

Pj glad to hear from you again who looks after your little cat while your in hospital? he must be glad to have you home again.

Dame so happy that thinks worked out for your friend.Once your car is finished we'll be calling you Hot Chillie Woman (after the song ).

Waves to purple(glad your better),Nef,Miss,Roseiglen and everyone else:-x

Re: COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

Morning all :-x

Dame I am glad u r getting yr car sorted I agree with libby hot chilli woman look out, lol.

JV I admire yr efforts with looking after yr mum my mum would be 75 this year and I still miss her I lost her in 1977 from BC I reckon my life would have been a whole lot better with her in it. However they say God has a plan for each of us and everything happens for a reason I just wish he coulda left me with someone else like my mum or dad, sister or a brother aunt uncle. Arh well.

Spent $122 on groceries today and I dont have much to show for it 4got the washing powder, lol.

Miss I'm going to church to enrich my social circle as I currently in Townsville dont have any1 much that gives a toss about me. Also I need to believe that God has a plan for me and that my life and my sons is worth something. I believe in God and Jesus and thyat if God can send his son to earth to have what happened to him happen than I can conquer my grief perhaps. I have to believe..it is what will psuh my forward. Sorry to babble...its good to be able to chat to you wonderful people to air ones thoughts.

Re: COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

Hi there Kerry:)
I find great comfort in my God, in troubled times, but as I have often said on here, I also fight with my demons and I do question a lot, I believe I am a Christian, but at times I do falter, I believe I have had a fortunate life in many ways.
We all have had our tragedies at times with family, health and numreous other issues.
Many years ago I went through something no Mother should have to go through and that is when I reached out to God, instead of anti depressants that I found I could not take, I tried talking to God, prayers, bike riding, walking and talking to myself to keep myself sane, most of the time it works for me, but I do at times go off the rails a tad.
I do get comfort from church though, I sorta feel healed and cleansed if that makes sense!
God bless Kerry as you travel this new path and I hope you find the answers you are seekingโ™ฅ

Re: COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

Top of the afternoon everyone!

JVH - such a relief your mum is peaceful - I hope she stays comfortable. Is she able to at least watch t.v? Or listen to music? So sad for her and for you. Stay strong!

Purple - nothing like a new hair-do to perk you up! Glad you are feeling better. I expect you will miss your family while they are in Singapore. I loved Singapore - especially singapore slings at Raffles!

Hello Dame - your posts always shine my day too! Congrats on the air-con and getting the tradie to install. It will make such a difference to your 'oldie'. Nice of Mr. Beam to toil with the tint - it will be well worth it when 'hot chillie' is in all her glory!!

Hey libby - totally agree regards your son. Sorry for his ankle (same as mine by the sounds) - I was supposed to go for ultra as well on it (but haven't as it is improving) hope his does too! As for the work experience couldn't agree more. It is totally in his best interest to learn responsibility to help him in his future.

Nef I am so proud of the way you climbed out of that dark hole you were in a while back. That took real courage and determination - well done! So sorry you lost your mum so young - I'm sure that such a tragedy has not helped with depression. They say time is a great healer - but I find time just allows you to get used to it and not over it. I sincerely hope you find some lovely friends within your church and more power to you for making such a huge effort. I have never been to Townsville but would love to get there one day!!

Pjbear hope you are doing well and feeling stronger after your hospital trip. Yours is not an easy road either - best wishes and good vibes your way!

Was home alone last night while OH had an overnighter in the city - so naturally I heard every creak/noise to be heard lol. A lovely warm sunny day here today - so instead of tackling another room - may go pull some weeds!

Have a fantastic day everyone!!!

Hi Libby and what lousy luck for your young man.........and yes hard for them to tackle making that phone call........i know my boy was alway big for his age.........and i would look at him and think geez you are still a kid.....but at 18 they are a man..........many served and are serving on the front line at that age:)..........i do hope his ankle is not broken and that the work experience turns into a positive experience in all areas:)

One never finishes being a mother:)
