Morning all

Hi JVH think regardless of age everyone loves a father figure particularly when you have lost your dad. Jason is lucky to have you and your OH!
Yes OH suffers badly from gout frequently. He had to give up red wine and shellfish two of his favorites. I have his portions lol!
Little niece had her monthly blood test this am. Was dreading it as much as her. My brother has to go to hold her down she hates it that much. He hates it even more,

Got my family reunion picnic tomorrow. Will only have time for a short drop in I think.

Poor little mite having the blood work.......and dreadful for her father to have to hold her and to restrain her he must feel terrible ..lets hope the results are totally spot on

Eating cherries is excellent for gout.........even the bottled ones have to eat them on a regular basis

Evening all

Hi JVH yes use the cherry therapy all the time. Just bought some fresh ones at the supermarket didn't get home till 11pm was still busy!
Pork is in the crockpot on low in ginger ale. Hoping to get it to the next stage before I go to the reunion tomorrow.

My sister from Adelaide surprised me with a visit with her family this afternoon wasn't expecting to see them till Xmas day. Was wonderful!

Trying to unwind now lol!

Morning morning all that gout is a horrible thing.

I had gout when carrying my son right at the last few months..........was dreadful..........as the kidneys werent working properly........one of the many reasons why i only had the one lol

Hi Kezza did you decide on a roast?

About to head off for this reunion thingo as have a couple of stops to make enroute. Does anyone know if the bakeries are open Xmas morning? Would prefer freshest of fresh.

Hi Miss and yes we cant believe it either......Uncle has take it all very hard......dont think the bakeries are open....i know the Coles at the back of us and they do have a very large bakery are closed but open boxing day.  Hope the reunion goes ok

Can you buy what you need today in the way of bread rolls and snap freeze?

Miss C bought home a cookie for me with pink icing, lol.

We decided on a roast pork we havent had a roast for so long almost a year we used to have a roast every Sunday and bacon and eggs for Sunday brekkie all too expensive now.

We will probably have a late lunch C ate his desert already, no alcohol this Christmas couldnt afford after all, might have a few drinks for New Years but.

Have you tried Moscato.......is 5.00 bucks for a large bottle with a screw lid  i think the cheapest one is called Gossip.......very nice ice cold........but quite sweet........not sure what you like to drink:)

Yes got the rolls today just leaves the cakes to collect tomorrow they are open till 12.
Reunion was really good. Was great to catch up but time should have been spent in the kitchen lol!
