This answers a lot of questions for a lot of people.
I get my groceries delivered. I ask them to put them on the floor just inside the front door.
After I unpack, I wash my hands.
I hope that's enough.
As for delivered take away meals - always eat off your own plates, not directly out of their packaging.

I don't get food poisoning from Take Aways.
Only hubs' cooking.
He hasn't got a clue how to cook.
