Oh dear did I accidenty kill the previous Caption This #94 thread by winning the most kudos?

It looks stalled anyway, so I thought I might give it a kick-start, if that's ok?

C&P'd from the previous thread, closing date altered;

"Winner is chosen by highest number of Kudos.

In case of a draw, OP  chooses the winner.

The Winner posts a new photo.

Closing time is Saturday 21st April about 5pm.....ish...maybe......

Personally, I would be disappointed if Caption This ended because of the goings on in #95. This is not typical. Icy's list includes 10 people who voted. That's more than the number of people who post in a week in some other places. While current affairs, politics and religion are interesting, Caption This and tommy.irene bring us fun and pleasure - they help balance the board. I hope we continue for now and eventually call it quits one day for the right reasons.

I hope it doesn't stop either. I love looking at the funny photos even if I don't always contribute.

Occasionally (and this is a confession) I copy a photo and post it elsewhere and ask for captions. I don't know where people get all the photos they put up here, that's why I have pinched a couple. I hope they are not copyright.

But it is one of the best threads on this board. IMO.

Why don't we have a comp to come up with the best idea for a new comp, to be decided by kudos? It wouldn't have to be rushed - people could be given ample time to think about it. And the runners up could be put aside for next time, or when the new comp needs a holiday! Plus, it would give everybody an idea of how many people are still interested in fresh games/comps.

I didnt find the photo comp all that difficult, no one is forced to enter it     .....

I don't think it is difficult Bushie but there are a few posters on the boards who have limited mobility.

There is not much incentive to enter a photo competition when you can only take photos in your own backyard or very close by.

My personal choice would be for something computer based.....this caption competition fills the bill very well imo.

I would have thought that those why are unable or dont wish to take pics, would still like to enjoy seeing the pics that are posted

I'm sorry I made such a mess of this, ppl.

I guess it's because I don't come here often have never won, so didn't know the procedure.

To further complicate things I've now ticked Jimmy as the winner (as advised by DaveC), seeing Enigma has not come forward.

After all the hemming and hawing, I hope Jimmy takes up the new Caption This #96.

I for one, would be sad to see the Caption This thread discontinued.
