It looks stalled anyway, so I thought I might give it a kick-start, if that's ok?

To further complicate things I've now ticked Jimmy as the winner (as advised by DaveC), seeing Enigma has not come forward.

I for one, would be sad to see the Caption This thread discontinued.

I hope it doesn't stop either. I love looking at the funny photos even if I don't always contribute.
Occasionally (and this is a confession) I copy a photo and post it elsewhere and ask for captions.
I don't know where people get all the photos they put up here, that's why I have pinched a couple. I hope they are not copyright.
But it is one of the best threads on this board. IMO.
i find the easiest way to find pictures/cartoons is to use google.
type in 'funny pictures of ....' puting a subject in at the end, like 'people' then do your search, then select images at the top of the page. usually gives you lots of choices. if you dont get what you want fiddle with the search titles.

I like the caption this competition but if anyone is after ideas for another competition to run at same time, on another smaller board I am on we have one that seems to be working. Each week someone posts a subject. It can be anything eg What's the best thing that you have done that you didn't think you would enjoy? or What's the scariest moment you have experienced? or What's the worst hotel/motel you have ever stayed in? or What's the best bargain property in your area for under $250, 000? (I strugged with that as I am in melb
)
Stuff like that.
