I am with you.I am in awe of the posts and the people who have shared their stories here-I think all of us learn through the telling of stories, whatever the topic.

And we can heal through sharing empathy and we can grow through reflection on our own lives.

You mention a good point about trust-sometimes women can be their own enemies and sometimes we are the heroines for each other.:-x

I wasn't in this country at this time, and although there was certainly opposition to the war, I don't recall that kind of thing going on where I was (NZ)....I may be wrong of course, and just know about it.

I wonder if those women even remember how they behaved, and if they do, now with a little more maturity and insight I would hope they are thoroughly ashamed.

You are right though, at it's best the sisterhood is a wonderful thing, a thing to be cherished. I know there is the mateship thing with men, but the heartfelt , emotional support women can give each other in times of need is so special.

You have never owned a Torti (Tortoiseshell) kitty, or you have only owned the UK/Europe variety which are reasonably placid? :^O

Small Creep is VERY much the Oz version - feisty in the extreme - and there is no way I would be able to get orange knickers on her with out turning them blood red in real life!!!

In Cyberland, I don't have Photoshop (?) and I couldn't draw knickers on her photo......so I left them around her neck.....which is what would have happened in real life anyway. :^O

I doubt it Jules, other woman are doing similar things to the wives of people serving in Afghanistan. :_|

Imagine this.....in the morning, nine days from now, you will wake up and the whole vibe in your house will have changed.

It will feel quiet, peaceful and safe. Your furbabies will be there, but when you walk into the lounge room, it will be all yours. Glorious wonderful space, to fill entirely with your energy.

You will not have to dodge a blob on the sofa, tapping away on his lappy. The house may be a little empty, but that's fine, gradually you will fill it with your stuff.

Now, you will go and make a coffee (or herb tea or whatever) and you will sit enjoying the very first day of tranquility you have had for a long time.
