Wicks, what a frightening time for you during your son's diagnosis and treatment, it would be hard enough with support from your husband/partner, but to battle this alone must have been just a nightmare.

From the information passed onto me, the Oncology Doctor has told the family the cancer is very rare in adults, it's predominately a childhood cancer. I've looked on line and this appears to be what type of cancer it may be neuroblastoma. They started chemo on Monday and followed up with more treatment of a different kind on Tuesday. He is expected to go home today.

Hi everyone. (((hugs))) for Freddie, Wick and all those who are drawing strength from this amazing thread.
Dear Catty. It is a mark of how strong you are and how far you have come that you are able to feel sad for the mess Mr Ex has made of his life without feeling the need to rescue him or put things right for him.
I don't think he is a bad person, just a weak and very self-centred one. Braff is quite right about the callousness of pouring out his woes to you at this time, but his little world is encased in a steel cocoon od 'self' and he is no more able to comprehend your grief for your father than he was able to understand why you couldn't live together 'as friends' after he had cheated on you.
