dtrh, may I please make a suggestion?  I had to practically crawl inside my poot to read your posts, especially the last one.  Would you mind making the font size bigger?  To at least a 12 instead of the 8 that it is now.  Thank you if you do and thank you anyway for considering it if you don't.  :-x

dtrh, not wanting to remind you of the customer, but are you sure that you served her?

I was very fortunate many years ago to have a boss that would call you into his office and give you compliments if you deserved them or had received favourable reports from customers.

One day he called me into his office and he said he was very sad to do this etc but he had received a complaint about me and he needed to pass it on.  I listened to what he had to say, struggling not to scratch my head in bewilderment.  He said he found it difficult to understand why I would react to the customer and so on.  I still couldn't recall the occassion and I was very territorial / had my own way of doing my job and I asked him if he knew the date this happened.  Lo and behold it was on the only day that I had off that year, so it wasn't me at all.  I then felt relieved but annoyed at the same time that someone had trashed my reputation by them not performing my duties the way that I did.

This complaint was also several weeks after the incident so it does make it hard to keep track.

Kylie, ever so close now for you.  I hope you and the childen managed to get through the day with lots of loving memories.

Crazy, poor Damo had bronchitis for the gig down your way but apparently he just altered his set list, so instead of doing a lot of the songs with really huge notes at the end he did other songs instead.  People were dancing and clapping and all had a brilliant time going by the reports I have read.  It is a shame that you couldn't make it.  He couldn't speak at the end of it.  I have seen him so sick at times but he always puts in a big effort.  Those that haven't seen him as much as myself and some of my friends wouldn't know he was sick because of the effort he puts in. B-)

Re the complaint..It is galling to think that someone can complain and make up lies,and do it hidden by the anonymity of email..I was going to quote from the email,but Im bigger than that.I know the truth about what happened and so do others who witnessed her behaviour that day.It appears some people feel so powerless that they then dream up drama to attempt to provoke a response to make it seem as though they are important.Its a little pathetic.

I am back to retailworld today-the cut,the thrust,the therapy-and thats just me...haha will be doing my best as per usual and will also enjoy the sunshine Melbourne has put on..

Kylie - oh St George is a rugby thing. It shows how little I know about sport.  :^O  I'm happy you got through the day okay. I understand about aniversaries :-x

Mrs Braff - Did you know you can increase the font on your computer? Just press down the Ctrl button on your keyboard (bottom left under the shift key) and at the same time spin the wheel thing on top of your mouse. This makes the font bigger or smaller.

Damo is a hard working man and he deserves fame and  fortune!

Dtrh - I'm sorry you had to be on the receiving end of someone elses problems. What really cheeses me off is that these people are probably feeling superior and bragging to others about how they gave those 'retail/customer service people' a 'good serve'. Imagine if our respective bosses were not understanding? We could have lost our jobs over something like this. And at Xmas time. Do these people think about the consquences of their actions?

Sad sad pathetic people. Put the focus back on us. :-x

Update on DD & J - we have a date and a time! Thursday late evening. I have to work so they are catching a cab home from the airport. We may end up home at the same time, literally!

I just want to hug my daughter so much!

I put my back out the other night. I believe all physical issues start from emotions so I thought about why I would put my back out just before my DD is due home? I got the answer within a few minutes.

Before my DD left for her holiday she asked for my 'blessing' to go. She was upset about leaving me while I was going through such a difficult time.  I told her I would be more than fine, that she wasn't to worry about me.

But the truth is, deep down,  I was upset about her leaving me. I felt 'unsupported'.  I didn't recognise I felt this way. Until my  back decided to 'show' me. I've resolved my feelings of being 'abandoned' (the real source was childhood issues).

And lo and behold! ... the pain in my back went away after a couple of hours!

I'm so in awe of the mind, body, spirit connection.
