MsCat, Jacks etc. it is amazing the number of people who are going to or want to erase 2011 from their memory.
It seems to have been such a bad year for so many people.
I had a year like that quite a few years ago and went to bed at 7.30 on New Years Eve just to get the year over and done with so that a new one could start. to this day I cannot remember what year it was. I have totally blocked it from my memory.
I also have had someone ring me with bad news re their health. It looks like they will neded to have a kidney removed. She feels really bad because her husband has now been transferred to a Nursing Home because he has developing alzheimers and Parkinsons disease. The two of them together is not pleasant (the diseases that is). She hasn't even told him of her problems. Plus she lives in the country and medical services there are almost non existant and she will have to come to Sydney. She has mobility issues (needs a awalking stick/walker/gopher) depending on what walking she needs to do. She is scared of travelling down on her own with the luggage she needs to bring and how she will cope with it.
*sigh*. I hav ethought of going up there to travel back with her but at this stage we don't know what is going on and when plus I have a few things happening myself in January that might clash with that idea. ๐
Yes Ms Cat. I and about 2,000 other people watched the rehearsal. There are a lot of young ones participating so the parents would have been there with them.

Nope, still here and intact! ๐
Had a big day today. Went to the markets and walked around for a good hour, got very tired, so just grabbed what I needed and came home.
Then off to a family Xmas party at lunchtime, getting home at 7pm! Was sooo wonderful catching up and we had 3 generations there. My parents and 2 closest friends. ALl of us kids of theirs, then our kids! We did pressies for all the littlies, so cute!
Then we got home and other close friends of ours wanted to 'pop in' for a quick visit and only left at 10pm! Just wanted a "pre-Xmas" and "pre-baby" catch up as we will likely not see them again til later in January.
Now heading off to bed, but feels odd that Im not getting up for work tomorrow!!!
BUUUUT... Miss 15 has her orthodontist apt at 10am, so we are still up & out earlyish. He is tightening up and re-elasticing the braces.WIll be nice to come home to rest and not race back to work!
Awww.... CONGRATS to Uncle J! Ava is a lovely name!
I would've considered it for my bubs if hubs wasnt so set on his fave girls name for our baby if it's a girl!
