Hi to all you lovely ladies.

Wonder if Kylie is still at home, or at the hospital.  Praying all goes well for her.

Ms Cat - it's hard to keep your faith at the same level all the time.  I'm not a Buddhist, but as a Christian, I find faith flowing free at times and then ebbing. ATM I'm struggling, as my finances have hit an all-time low and I'm finding it hard to have complete faith that all will work out OK.  I'm also finding it difficult to meditate on God's word and pray.  I believe we can use the desert times, to bring us up to a higher level of faith.  Wherever we are with our faith we are not alone!   Hard to understand though - wish life could be easier at times.  It's good to look back on the past and see how far we have come from all the rubbish we've been through.

Hugs to you all and pray you are all going OK.

Higs and hugs to you Cuddly  :-x

I hope you are feeling a lot better.

Poor Kylie.  ๐Ÿ˜ž

The trouble is that you thought you would go early so we were expecting news probably from early December, the Doctor thought you would go early X-(, then we find out the due date was actually 31st December, and then the due date by your LMP was only a couple of days ago.  We have all (including you) been waiting a month too long.  That is why it seems like such a loooong time.

My mother would hover over me and my siblings when we were pregnant.  Being very anxious for the news of baby etc that I made a pact with myself that for my last baby I told her it was due 2 weeks after she really was.  ๐Ÿ˜›

I couldn't stick to that for too long though, so in the end she knew my due date.

Kylie, just go about your normal day and thankfully for you it isn't stinking hot weather.

Baby will arrive when it feels it needs to.  Good luck and thanks for keeping us updated.  :-x

Hi MIA  *waves*

Keep well everyone.

Cuddly big OK hugs. :-x This too shall pass and life will look brighter soon.

mindtobusy  Thank you. I can feel your compassion for others in your posts :-x

Sometimes it is difficult when we have committed ourselves to faith. I should be more compassionate and understanding of myself. I hope to reach the point where whatever is happening in my life, however I'm feeling .. my faith remains consistent.

Yes, struggles can deepen our faith. We just have to trust that our faith will help us overcome them with grace and dignity.

My Buddhist teacher lost her voice 2 years ago. Now for a teacher/counsellor/chanter extraordinaire, that was a huge.  She could barely speak above a whisper. She went to many specialists and doctors who couldn't what was wrong. She chanted (prayed) many hundreds of hours.

Her life was dependant on her voice. Her faith is incredibly strong having been practicing Buddhism for almost 30 years.

But at one stage, even her faith ebbed.

But she kept on praying.  It took a whole year before things started  moving.

Finally, the specialists found out what was wrong. It's a neurological problem, to do with the brain/voice connection. The only treatment is botox injections in the throat which brings back the voice for about 2- 3 months at a time.

Now people may say "well her prayers didn't work". But you could also say they have worked .. because her last injection was 6 months ago and her voice hasn't deteriated at all. She is well overdue for her next injection ...

I don't know why my teacher has, what would be for her, this huge struggle. But as I told her, maybe she needed to experience this personal trauma so when she teachers others about her faith she really knows, first hand, what it's like to maintain faith when it sometimes seems your prayers are not being answered in the way you want them to be.

I hope that makes sense!

Love to Kylie โ™ฅ and all the lovely OK'ers.

Re: Cat_mioux's new home

HI there...

Braff, you are soo correct, the Dr has been so sure that I would "go any day" from 34 weeks, so it has been hard to go about my normal business with that over my head.

Ive never been overdue before, hopefully not much longer, but so far- NOTHING today! *sigh*

Sleeping gets harder everynight, last night I fell asleep at 5am!!! Up at 12pm, getting worse, cant wait for a comfortable rest- even though I know the sleep will be broken.
