Re: Cat_mioux's new home

Every now and then I buy a lottery ticket just so I can have the pleasure of 'spending' the prize money in the days before it is drawn. Mr Elephant can't understand it it all and thinks I am quite barmy - I tell him he just doesn't have any imagination.:^O

Re: Cat_mioux's new home

Our baby's Naming Day was sooo beautiful!

Id never actually been to one, so was totally winging it with the plans for Ceremony, but the Celebrant (who married us in Oct 08) was wonderful and made it special!

My youngest sister & her fiance were officiated as Samantha's "life guardians" aka Godparents.

We hired a small Community Hall and my sis & her fiance/ parents/ hubs & son spent a few hours decorating and transformed into a lovely space!

Theme was PINK! Dark pink/light pink/white.

Samantha wore my 40 yr old Christening gown and she looked adorable!

My mum designed the cake and a family friend made it!

My amazing sister made a "Lolly Bar" and it was FANTASTIC!

Overall a great day spent with family & friends! ♥

Re: Cat_mioux's new home

The gorgeous cake!

Top layer was choc mud, and bottom layer was red velvet.... Mmmmm!

The blocks are not edible but have been stored to use with Samantha's 1st Birthday cake in Jan 2013. (only 9 months away!)

The Ceremony Candle that hubs & I lit is next to the cake, it is sooo beautiful, personalised with bubbas name, a verse & photo.

And alongside the cake are "Thank you" chocs. My sister ordered personalised chocolate labels ("Samantha's Naming Day") then she wrapped around the bars, and glued on a diamonte to each! Amazing!

Re: Cat_mioux's new home

Oh wow Kylie...Samantha looks just beautiful. That cake and your lolly buffet look amazing. You rock! :-x I'm so glad the day went well and was as special as it should.

OMG Braff...getting very close now.

Funeral isn't exactly a nice family outing. I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind her taking them. She and I don't speak anymore. Perhaps this was to get me to bite? The children's father organised this day with them. He reckons she knew the funeral was on but originally she wasn't going, then changed her mind. Pfft! I think she used them as a security blanket because her family were there and they don't speak to her anymore either. Anyway, what's done is done now. Kids hated the long drive to the funeral and Master 6 had be quiet and sit with his arms crossed apparently....sounds fun 😞

Miss 15 is doing well lately, I'm about to pick her up from work.

Have a great evening!
