Booooooo and a big 'hello' to everyone.
Kylie, don't worry too much, these people are professionals they have seen it all before, they know a academy award actor when they see one.
We have been back to Sydney for my 6 month check up, all's good, Mr F also had an appt at Westmead Hospital to see if they could make a top denture to fit his mouth. Alas, they have only ever done 2 which involved taking bone from the leg and building that bone into the jaw - they didn't even get a chance to finish all the glorified details, before the noooooooooooo way echoed in the background. Just not an option, he's been through too much to go down that track again. Actually, he's fortunate because you can't tell visually he has no top denture, his gums must have hardened also, because he's been able to eat most food normally. They said they could do a denture for cosmetic appearances, but he wouldn't be able to use it for eating, that would also require about 8 trips back to Sydney, so he's decided not to bother going ahead with it.

Kylie Freddie has good advice. "Mr Wonderful" won't be able to trick the mediators. They have seen it all. Just be yourself and let them know the truth. And don't let "Mr Wonderful" make you crazy with frustration. It's a trick they use. Mr Ex got me so frustrated and angry when he wouldn't give me a date for his leaving the house. For days I was calm and reasonable but I finally cracked it and started crying and yelling and he had the audacity to record my rant on his mobile phone to show 'everyone'. *really angry face*. So don't fall for that little trick in the narcisists bag of weaponry.
Freddie yes Mr Freddie has been through so much and needs a rest from surgery and pain! Maybe later down the track he might feel up to having the bone graft for replacing his top teeth. But if he doesn't, it's ok too if it doesn't restrict him eating too much. Better a happy Mr Freddie than a miserable Mr Freddie being able to chomp down on apples and steak!

Catty if he wants steak I blend it with gravy, it tastes the same. Apples I blend in a smoothie, he can't chew or get salad down, so that's a no go, but most foods can be either eaten or blended.

If Mr Freddie is enjoying food still and is happy to have his steaks and apples blended then having dentures to chomp with isn't important. I've had 3 teeth extracted (back ones) in the last couple of years. I know it's not at all the same but I find I have to modify my meals to eat comfortably and I don't feel like I'm missing out at all. Once I win the lotto, I'll look into getting those teeth replaced but if it mean't bone grafts .. I'd really have to think about it first.

Have you got a wizz bang juicer/blender Mrs Freddie?
I often juice salad leaves (kale or spinach), raw beetroot, carrots, celery, ginger, lemon for a really yummy vege smoothie.

Hi Catty, yes I do. I can juice or do smoothies.
