Good post dtrh, and I completely agree. Forgiveness give us our freedom.


I do think the other stages have to be worked through first, anger, hurt, grief, the are all completely natural and necessary to a complete recovery.

Then when one has worked through all of that forgiveness comes quite easily.

Are you worried, Cat, that Mr Ex may be back on your doorstep, in a few months, when everything falls down around him.

what would you do if that happens ??

would he dare show his face again ??


I think I would want to quietly move in the mean time so if he did come back, there would be no trace and leave him wondering what happened.


If he does come back for any reason, can you borrow some big rough tattooed bikie type (about 7 foot tall and 6 foot across) to open the door.

Great to see the humour on here.

Definitely agree about forgiveness, but it doesn't come easy as keelia has said - it's a process and takes as long as needed, but once you're there it's a relief. I remember the night I found out the truth, I thought I would forgive him on the spot - little did I know how long that "spot" would be!!!!

Have a good sleep Ms Cat - time is creeping on. Good you have a calendar now to cross off the days and it's even orange!!!
