:^O I've seen the cats make this face 😮 when the vet takes their temperature.

I'm writing the first chapter in my head. I'll speak to my teacher next week to ask her advice.

I've had an eventful day. My friend and I went shopping to buy cat food and on the way back we bought a DVD and munchies. When I turned the ignition the car didn't turn on and all the electrical thingies started flashing on the dashboard.

I got out my driver's manual looking for answers. Why can't they make manuals that have chapters like "When you turn the key and nothing happens .. do this". In the mean time my friend is laughing, pulls out a box of Cheezels from the bag in the back seat, makes herself comfortable while I try to phone the RACV with a mobile that doesn't have a signal because we were stuck in an underground car park. 😐

But I got it started 😄 I'z a smatz kitty.


cynth - I'm so sorry you have a knob head for an ex. And his comment "making myself happy" by cheating on you. That tells you a LOT about who he is and his thought processes.

It's that "self-serving sense of entitlement and bugger everyone else" that annoys the shirts out of me. It's like "Hello!!!!??" He was a lousy husband and now it seems a lousy father. At least you know where not to go to ask for help 😞

All I did was ask my friend "should I try turning the ignition on again?" and she replied "Yeah sure why not" and it started and we both looked at each like this 😮

I didn't even have to open the bonnet 😄

But that's just it cat, until the other women came along he wasn't a lousy husband. At times he could be very short tempered and intolerant of the kids, but that was once they started heading towards teenagerhood and started answering back. Before that I couldn't fault him. Well......I could, but never did.

Until the day we were driving home and he asked if I wanted to stop and talk about us I had no idea he would ever want to leave and he would have been the last person in the world I'd have picked to do what he has done. He was my best friend for 25 years and I'll never be able to explain why he did what he has done. But he did.

His words today have stirred up a lot of anger and bitterness that I thought I was passed, but worse than that is the sorrow I feel when I hear his meh attitude towards his own flesh and blood. I feel so sorry for my kids that that is their example of what a father is.



I always worry when the vet sticks the thermometer up there coz first reaction of all my dogs is to try and sit down! Ouch.:O

I know cynth 😞 It seems the other woman hasn't brought out the best in him. It's so sad he's stepped off the plate when it comes to his own children. You wonder if these cheating husbands were always self-serving but we filled in the gaps, swept it under the carpet, made excuses for them .. or did they change one day while we were distracted?

Your daughter needs both of you,and you are the only parent in her life.so sad,and yet he is the one that misses out..it sounds like you werent so suprised by his reaction,but feel sorry for your daughter?:-x I think she will be OK-you are more than enough parent for her(((HUGS)))

all his talk of being disappointed is just a blind for subconsciously recognising that HES the disappointment. take no notice of that bs.

and as annie :-x points out ,your daughter feels able to confide in you..Its a burden,I know,but I think between you and your daughter you will figure it out..

I have had some success with my Daphne shrub-have the most heavenly scented tiny flowers..unbelievable!pretty pleased after nurturing her for almost 2 years:-x

Hi gorgeous ladies!

Ahh I love Daphne too. In fact when I buy my own home I'm going to grow Daphne, Gardenia's, Lavender, Roses, Thyme and Boronia .... *bliss*

I'm having a blah day but I know how I can fix it. I'll clean my house, mow the lawn with my new push mower (courtesy of the OK ladies :-D) because feeling organised helps me feel more in control.
