Kylie please let us know how you are :-x
im on a real downer. This is not like me at all, so I'm moping on the lounge right now.
son at soccer, daughter sewing a costume, baby playing but about to have a nap!
have a family dinner for my sis bday that I desperately don't want to go to.... need to get organised in a couple of hours....
...... Til then..... *sigh* more moping.....
ex has already had his visit, things are calm there.
I'm really upset with a family member still and I dont know if I can hold back tears at the restaurant tonight. I don't want to go to work next week either, if I get the courage I'm gong to take the time off (prob not allowed to though) ๐

Good luck Freddie.
Kylie it can be very hard when its a family member that has upset you. I really don't have any suggestions, as you know I've had (and still have) problems with a family member. Just remember that I and I know others here are thinking of you and sending you cyber hugs and good wishes.

Freddie just wondering if I may ask a few questions? Only if you want to of course.
Firstly I know nothing about radiation therapy, so sorry if they are stupid questions.
Does it hurt when you are having the treatment?
Do you feel sick afterwards, and for how long?
When you travel home after treatment should the driver take any special care (eg: avoid really windy roads etc)?
I'm a volunteer red cross patient transport driver, and one day I'll have to transport someone for radiation treatment and I wouldn't want to make thier trip home unnecessarily unpleasant.

Good luck Freddie :-x
Happy, I think it is different for each type of treatment (ie boob, prostrate etc). Also, each patient handles it differently.
I have a relative going through radiation at the moment. He is doing 'better' than expected. He was told that it would be every day for 6 weeks (not weekends). He would get diarrhea (sp) and bladder problems and a few other things. He has just started getting the diarrhea and he has reached week 5. Also he would need recovery time (sick leave) for a while after treatment finishes for his insides to heal. << That is what HE has been told.
I don't think windy roads make a difference but Freddie might be able to help you out on that.
Also, Freddie only starts her radiation treatment tomorrow so she may not know.
Good question though.
Kylie, big hugs to you. It's not good when someone makes you feel down. Especially by someone who should be your ally.
I have a group of friends and one particular person in that group does it to me all the time. She can be quite nasty.
I hope it sorts itself out for you soon if it hasn't already. Come in here to scream if you have to/want to. :-x
Hello MsCat 0/ Has your book arrived yet? How lovely of the poster (sorry, I don't know the name) mentioned it to you. It was fate.
I hope all is good in the land of MsJacks, cyn, She-Ele, happy, cuddly :-x, all who come in here whether posting or lurking.
Higs and hugs to everyone.
