those million dollar views from multi million dollar homes are being washed away and i doubt there is anything they can do about it

I heard that council wouldn't put in place barricades and wouldn't let the owners do so either.

If that's the case then council bears some responsibility.

People in the street behind those houses will now have beach front property, once these ones are demolished.

Will Council now allow for barricades?

Interesting comment.

Seems some live close to the beach - would you - or would you not - given permission to build there - expect something of theCouncil - to whom you are paying rates.

Yes I heard that too, also that the council owns the beach land.   So putting it simply they would be responsible for not putting up barricades.    Good luck to the home  owners trying to sue them though,  it could take years.

Bulldust, if ya'll believe in Climate Change the council isn't liable for anything. The council alone didn't create the climate to change.
