Champion Breakfasts

A morning meal that satisfies 🙂 🙂 🙂

I just toasted crumpets for my son and I.  Mine was crunchy and buttery and tasted yummy.

He'd already had leftover Thai chicken soup with ginger, lol, and an apple.

What do you like eating for breakfast?

Re: Champion Breakfasts

I need to be up for at least 1hr before I can think about breakfast, my usual breakfast is a banana smoothie, skim milk, low fat yogurt, honey and a dash of cinnamon.

Re: Champion Breakfasts

Freddie ... that sounds daunting to someone who's lactose intolerant 🙂 ... healthy, but 🙂

Kabarine ... love bacon and eggs for breakfast ... with sausages, and a fried egg, and hash browns or thick toast, and a side of mushrooms, and a side of tomatoes and a side of fried tomatoes.

OH YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Champion Breakfasts

Eggs Benedict is one of my son's favourites, Lurker. He'd visit this hotel in Kansas City just for the breakfasts ...

Most awesome breakfast menu EVER.

Re: Champion Breakfasts

Looks good - I wonder if I could make it there before 11am tomorrow LOL

Question for our North American friends. What is the difference between Canadian bacon and Bacon?

Re: Champion Breakfasts

Slice of wholegrain bread with turkey, onion, cucumber, mushrooms, capsicum, olives, baby spinach and swiss cheese toasted under the grill, and a small bowl of fruit.

I don't eat bacon, eggs, tomatoes or pancakes, so pretty much rules me out for those big breakfasts lol.

Re: Champion Breakfasts

Lurker ... if you ever find yourself near there, stay a night of two. It's one of my favourite hotels in the whole world.

Simone, that sounds healthy and happy and very close to what we'll be having dinner tonight. I'm caramelising onions at the moment for gourmet steak "sandwiches" with various side dishes.

Another breakfast dish we like is nasi goreng. Basically fried rice. You can leave the fried egg off.

Re: Champion Breakfasts

We used to do quite a bit of work in Selma, Oregon.........there was a restaurant there, called the "Boarding House Reach"........their logger's breakfast was to die for..........

Stack of pancakes, with a myriad of syrups, biscuits and gravy, ham, bacon, and sausage, hash browns or country potatoes, eggs any which way,  toast with a variety of jams/jellies, orange juice and coffee.

Problem is, after a breakfast like that, everyone wanted to just sit around and rest........

Oh, and I recently found ourt that Trader Joe's has crumpets, but they.re not the quality I remember from my callow youth in Oz.
