I think everyone here needs to be aware of what eBay is planning for the boards, and also have a look at what they've done to the US and UK boards.

While we cannot stop the already announced changes we can possibly influence how far those changes end up going.
There are few enough members left now to post on the boards and if some of the supposed changes come in in the future I can foresee the boards collapsing completely.

My bottom line is rare, but good advice. When your swimming in your neighbours pool, your neighbour makes the rules. If you don't like the rules, but you still want to swim,
Not necessary.

You obviously regard your association with eBay as an opportunity to operate an enterprising business capable of a financial return,l suggest that the other handfull of supporters probably share that experience as well.
Tell me, do you have a business plan that includes reviewing your operation policies and proceedures? Most successfull business owners that I know have this proceedure in place and return to visit them when they realize that the influences that determine their operations are evolving, or they are simply looking to improve the company's values going forward.
In this instance I see eBay doing just that, It's my opinion that a company that sits on their hands isn't going anywhere.
You and the 6 or 7 posters on here were not a part of any decisions eBay has made regarding their policies, Your quoted post reveals that you know that you never had, and never will, influence the eBay policy decision makers.
Whether they are good or bad decisions, whether you like the look of them, or don't like the look of them is not an issue - how you deal with the changes is the real issue. Posting links, and complaining. and attempting to recruit support, that seems to be capable of doing little more than talk in circles and, is very slow in arriving,s not going to change anything.
For mine I would be doing my best to make the changes work for me, if I thought Ineeded to alter my business plan to accommodate the changes , then I would. On the other hand if the changes were insurmountable, and they dis-advantaged me to the extent that I couldn't find a way forward, I would pack my bags.

What the hell has a business plan got to do with the changes on the boards??????
Selling on ebay has nothing to do with upcoming changes to the boards.
Would've been good if you'd actually read ebay's announcement whilst you were lurking.
From my observation of the boards it appears that, for quite a few people they see them as a means to advertise. Now the last time I looked, "advertising" is associated with having something to sell. To educate you further, selling usually means that the advertiser is conducting some type of business - are you beginning to understand now.
Advertising is easily recognised by the excessive use of personal pronouns, The over-use of these words are not necessary to pass on helpful information to those who are looking for advice. Have you stopped to think that, it's because the boards are not being used as they are meant to be used, that the changes have/will occur? (I relly don't need you to answer that q}
I endeavoured to edit my first post but ran out of time. The complete sentence was meant to read. " When your swimming in your neighbours pool, your neighbour makes the rules. If you don't like the rules, but you still want to swim, go change your togs and make the rules work for you."
Even if you don't use the boards to advertise, my advice is still the same.
You don't have the necessary requirements to alter the rules, so either adapt to the changes or move on.

This makes as much sense as your last post about making a business plan to post on the boards.
How do you work out that that non sellers are advertising on the boards? What are we supposed to be advertising/selling?
Edit....go back to your other ID....at least the insults on it made some sense, which is more than I can say for your posts on this ID.

I will speak as one who operates a full time business, which includes eBay as one of my platforms, and also as one who uses the boards on a regular basis.
A business that ignores - or fails to take into account - user experience when "shaking things up", quickly loses touch with the people they seek to profit from, which is highly counter-productive. If the users here have little to no influence over eBay's decision making (which, to be fair, is pretty much understood by most that that is the case), surely it can be argued that it's a failing on eBay's part? (And to note, when I say "user experience", I'm speaking in terms of how users interact with the website, how much engagement they have, and so on, not how much time they've spent onsite in any particular capacity).
My neighbour has a pool, in point of fact. If they invited me over for a pool party as long as I brought a 6-pack, that would seem like a pretty good - and mutually beneficial - deal, and I'd be pretty keen. I wouldn't blink an eye if they had a rule not to pee in their pool, that's fair enough. Cos, you know, I wouldn't do that anyway...
. If the terms of using their pool, and getting access to it, were such that it diminished or eliminated any joy, and was so impractical that it was a chore to try and swim there, I'd keep my beers to myself.

So I'm advertising the fact that I buy postage supplies? Tippy is advertising that she has a posting ID, Lyndal that she buys stuff. This would only be remotely credible (the advertising) if the particular poster was not offering useful information. There are certainly some who have posted on this thread who would be guilty, but you they are a minority.
Get real. Your initial premise was illogical. The old adage "when you find yourself in a hole, the first step is to stop digging" comes to mind
