WOW! That's all...WOW!
Chuck Baldwin - Pastor. Preaching the 'Good Word", and still advocating gun ownership!
Need we say any more about America?
Chuck Baldwin on Gun Rights- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jonNnVvcr-c
It REALLY is a sad indictment on American society.
Although not a believer in christianity, I still find it amazing that a good, pious christian pastor can advocate the ownership of firearms, when the bible is supposed to be about love and understanding! It goes to show just how christians can warp the words of the bible to say what they want it to say!
Time and again you hear christians attempting to defend their faith, or justifying the vilification of gay people, or their 'right to bear arms' - all the while, quoting 'their bible'. It smacks of blatant hypocrisy!

Isn't every religion like this?
Interpretation to suit the individual and to defend all wrong-doing.

Jesus said to sell your garmet and go buy a sword.

Gun ownership is all about love and understanding. For whoever had loved one's family, children, neighbors, fellow man, taking up the weapons for their defence.
Time and again you hear christians attempting to defend their faith, or justifying the vilification of gay people, or their 'right to bear arms' - all the while, quoting 'their bible'. It smacks of blatant hypocrisy!
True Christians have nothing but good things to say about gay people, and their right to self defence, meaning ownership of guns.
Interpretation to suit the individual and to defend all wrong-doing.
There is no wrong doing in gun ownership, the wrong doing is in telling people they can't, or that they shouldn't. giving one'self over to the devil to be as a slave to tyrants who fear the people and hate, ,, ,,, Christ......

So long, and thanks for all the fish?
close... But I think it may have been a bit more of a rant...maybe something like
"Over?....... Did you say 'over'?.... Nothing is over until we decide it is!
Was it over when the Gaelics stormed the Balkans?
Was it over when Pompey escaped Caesar at Brundisium?
Hell no! . . . And it ain't over now.
'Cause when the goin' gets tough . . . the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go! . . .
What the hell happened to the Jeruselum I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? '
Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Jesus, we might get in trouble.'
Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Herad , he's a dead man! John, Peter ! . . .
LET'S DO IT!

Simply amazing how christians can interpret their bible in ANY way they desire...it's also interesting to note that there's over 30,000 christian sects in America alone - (that's thirty THOUSAND), and each and every one interprets the bible THEIR way, and insists that THEIR version is the only true version!
If just one book can be interpreted in so many ways, who's to know which is the true and correct version - if any?
My guess is that the one true version, is the one you hold in your hansd right now - regardless of who you are.
Jesus supposedly preached about love - not war.
Check out the following...
Matthew 5:44,
Luke 6:27,
Matthew 19:9,
And so on and so on...
The ONLY real interpretation of the bible which clearly states that jesus advocated wielding a sword was
Matthew 10:34.
Of course, if you really want it, almost any passage can be made to say what you want it to - theists have been doing so for hundreds of years!

I had enough of religion being beaten into me at the hands of my sexually abusive grandfather thank you very much.
Jesus does not endorse violence of any kind. God is all about peace and love. It sickends me that you would equate what i'm sure was a tragic case of abuse to placing blame where it does not belong. This is where the law of the sword would come in. Or gun ownership in today's world. The means of self defence used to protect peace and love. Without that, and i do speak from personal experance, we are open to the same as you describe from your grandfather, but from every cop in existence. you see,
I still have the idea that i'm lowlife criminal scum beaten into me at the hands and boots of the sexually abusive Franklin county sheriffs.
