Mrs Wine and myself are facing an unusual situation, first time ever in fact.
All our 5 girls are overseas for Christmas - 2 in Canada, 2 in the USA, 1 in the UAE.
Parents and siblings are doing their own thing.
So just the two of us are going to cook up a storm at home, crack some plonk and wish everyone a Merry Christmas ! We'll probably end up staring at each other and run out of conversation (as long as we don't run out of plonk)
Merry Christmas everyone !

We are doing the same here. But we have had 2 early Christmas lunches with the kids and grandkids who will be spending Christmas day with their other side of the families.
We won't be doing much as the OH shoulder is still sore,

In an hour or so we are off to my sons place for a family Christmas Eve celebration. 1½ hr drive each way, but it will be worth the trip. Cuddling my newest great-granddaughter.
Tomorrow everyone is busy with other families. Hubby and I will drive to the beach and have fresh scollops, fish and chips for Christmas dinner. Later we may watch a movie or two.

Enjoy your day pct. OH and I, after all the farnarcling around trying to get everyone (extended family) on the "same page" with the prep and menu have decided that it would be bliss to do our own thing lol.
Enjoy your plonk and food and each others company. The girls will be back in the fold soon enough and the next Christmas will be a beauty!
