Your littlies will love it, well done for getting in the spirit DDB.
Please put pics here when ready, I am too old to clamber around on a ladder, but I usually string the drop down ones from my balcony and it just looks nice and makes you feel a part of it all.

I gotta say.... they look amazing.
Hubby was out all day yesterday and got home at 10pm and when we put the lights on to show him, he was amazed at what a great job i'd done.
Took me 6 hours.
Will do the rest next weekend and then have the official turning on of the lights on Nov 29th
Looking forward to a pic, DDB. ![]()
The Hillsong Church across the road is going all out this year as well.
They've put up a huge frame in the shape of a Christmas tree with strings of light coming down. Facing the other side of the road they've put up a little cluster of three.
Two blokes in a cherrypicker each have been hanging lights in all the trees in the grounds since yesterday. I can't wait to see it when it's finished, it'll look amazing!
I'll have to drive by of a nighttime to see it, of course.
I'm surprised they'd use a pagan symbol like the Christmas tree.
The 7th day Adventists in Carlingford always put up a beautiful life-sized Nativity.
This is the most trouble they've gone to and it's only a couple of years ago they put any decorations up at all.
.
In previous years they put up little plywood cut-out trees in red and white and a little nativity which kept blowing over in the wind.

The house up the street opposite my house has that flickering light effect everynight. They turn off the house lights and leave the TV on.

If they leave their blinds open, sneak one of these onto the window

Maybe they'll learn to close them
