I reall liked some of the RACQ insurance ads
They led to some catchphrases becoming part of our vernacular, particularly the charter boat one.
"Charter boat, what charter boat"
And this one. "child" ,"am not"
I can't find the one where Steve has fallen through the ceiling and is trapped with his legs dangling.
"Have you found that ladder yet" he yells out. "Still looking" says the wife sitting on the couch. AMused the heck out of me, but I was surprised to find a complaint had been lodged against it citing violence and
Features, emotional and physical violence carried out by females on males, as being stupid and incapable.

Yes, that was it.
I can't find that advert where the jeans are being pulled of the girl by a dog - I think a collie or a Kelpie / Blue Heeler.
I THOUGHT it was VB advert, I remember it causing a bit of controversy by lefty do gooders calling it sexist.
Anyone remember what it was advertising ?

Don't think so.
I have a nagging feeling in my head that it wasn't VB but can't nail what it was advertising.

@lloydslights wrote:Jimmy, it's interesting how "gentle ads" are appearing more often these days.
Is it a "calming" balm to the excesses of turbulence in the real world, I wonder? And therefore, more noticeable by us? Consequently working as an advert should. Promoting the product.
Thinking further though, the product in your example can cause turbulence domestically.

I have to run, but want to check those Australian ads posted after your post (scrolled through).
There's is a lot of truth in the short clips called commercials. Points of views, etc, ect.

Like all things....moderation is the key. Bud used to be my favourite, but they've changed something. I don't drink much these days, but if I do....Heinekens for me! 🙂
