Hope alone (faith) gives the immune system a boost so it's not as far-fetched as you think.

I think the term "hoax" in context  should be better interpreted as " of no consequence "

The Americans are having a good year this year for influenza casualties , with only 10,000 deaths so far , so as what is understood as a low death rate flu like virus of maybe a few thousand more would , as implied , have just been amortised into the general flu stats

Still a good year , a couple of years ago was about 60,000

However the situation has changed ....

Corona virus is not a flu and its mortality is 43x that of flu for very old people, but even for other age brackets it is much higher.  The only reason why all up so far not more people died is thanks to the unprecedented  actions of governments.

As long as you do not smoke while you do the cleaning you should be OK.  I have always used it for cleaning windows, mirrors and glass on framed pictures etc.  Another good germ killer is bleach, or isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol from chemist, or 100% from electronic shops) and also peroxide.

Re: Coronavirus update

As coronavirus spreads, what you need to know about handwashing and the power of simple soap and water

https://www.abc.net.au/news/health/2020-03-15/coronavirus-covid-19-handwashing-soap-sanitizer-advice...

So, head to the sink and start lathering:

  • after you blow your nose, cough or sneeze
  • after you have had close physical contact with anyone who is unwell
  • after you use the toilet (especially as evidence suggests SARS-CoV-2 may spread via faecal transmission)
  • before and after you eat
  • before, during and after you prepare food
  • after you feed or touch a pet.

i guess i wont be able to post anymore as i cant reach the computer from the sink

Re: Coronavirus update

It's not just the entertainment industry that's affected. Some people rely on the annual gardening shows for a huge chunk of their income and they've spent weeks on preparing for it but it's now been cancelled and they're left with stock that has a limited 'shelf life'. One such person posted in a gardening group I'm in on facebook and he was feeling pretty devastated, and quite 'lost'.
