Is healthy summer/autunm here , flu season in the winter northen hemisphere countries and air more polluted

I think that's probably a big factor. I guess we need to hope this thing is much more under control when our winter arrives. I've noticed over the last couple of years that it gets quite cool in late April and more colder in May. We're not far off.

Yes winter time , high viral loading , lower dynamic health , sluggish lymphatic system , many hot spots have high industrialisation ( pollution Sulphur Dioxide poisoning has similar symptoms) , more gregarious lifestyle : Italy cafe culture , China market places , London winter fog , New York ???  ... China and New York  high density housing , I surmise shared heating ventilation systems

Australia : summer time / mild autumn , high dynamic health , low density housing , low industrial pollution , drier climate , high UV sunshine , high Vit D production , less gregarious lifestyle,  less RF pollution , less ambient radiation, less living of life stress, more organic inclined produce , lower density living , faster response to containment and isolation.  Timely and meaningful support of Govt. Business starting to do likewise.

Lots.

Get them inolved in the general housework

Teach them how to cook a meal and help with the dishes .Iron clothes, etc. Run a load of washing.

Teach them basic crafts on how to sew buttons on. Make face masks, crochet blankets.

Play board games such as chess, dominoes, scrabble, etc.

Go play ball games such as cricket and football, tennis in open areas.

Just go for walks in local areas, talk and listen to your kids.

You do not get COVID19 through cut into blood stream.  You need to get it in your mouth or inhale it.  It is a respiratory disease.

Chairs can be wiped with sanitiser, rubbing alcohol or whatever.  Our doctor's surgery gives flu shots to people in their cars parked behind in their private car park.  To prevent people coming in.

Flu shots?! I heard regular flu shots are not a safeguard against COVID?

One thing that stands out to me is the low number of serious, critical cases in Australia. I realize population numbers and numbers of infected etc. need to be taken into consideration, but the number is low compared to the other countries featured at the bottom. I wonder what exactly it reflects?

I think it mainly reflects that we are far away from everywhere.  Also being in middle of the summer when the pandemic started probably helped.  But more likely it is the fact hat we are few weeks behind other countries, and I think we will be hit pretty hard, especially the people who lived through the smoke from the fires.  We only had couple of days of mild haze, nothing like Canberra or Sydney, and I found it very irritating in my throat.  The bushfire smoke contains dangerous chemicals and I wonder how will  affected people cope with COVID19 infection.
