I think those two events were before the level 4 and the lockdown were called though

Coronavirus concerns means these cruise ships have been told to leave Australian waters โ here's why that's unlikely to happen
this is crazy
australia a few years ago sent our navy to the southern ocean to rescue a guy who thought it was a good idea to sail around the world, costing who knows how much.
why?
because it was our DUTY under maritime law!
now here we are trying to send ships with possible sick on board out into international waters from the safety of our waters!
do we not have the same 'duty of care' to those on board these ships?
and under no circumstances do i mean bring em in and let em all get off and dissapear into the either like the 'ruby princess' saga.
i mean, do our darndest to see all on board recieve the best medical treatment we can.

We are htting 800 now
Queenstown hit hard from tourists passing the virus on
This video is alarming, how could the Chinese leader allow all those OS visitors to go home knowing the virus can be spread person to person, affectively he infected the whole world when 95 % of it could have been contained in China, I believe he should be up for criminal charges along with Trump for down playing it..
Are you joking?? Chinese government had no right to keep any foreign citizens. It was up to individual countries to impose quarantine and implement testing. They thought China is over reacting.
Isn't hindsight just wonderful. Maybe we could have been warned earlier, but what use would that be since our goverment ignored warning anyway. By early January everybody who wanted to learn the facts knew. Our government did not even make sure there is enough masks, which is just the minimum that should have been done. And American government is even worse. In China some people left the province for their New Year celebration with family before the shut down, but that was at the time when only few thousand people were infected in city of 11million.
I watched as the situation developed and watched as our media sneered at the "ridiculous" shutting down of Hubei, and destroying Chinese economy. Where are the people who were posting all the memes that said "flu kills xxxxx people every year and we do not shut our country"? My American cousin was one of them; they are now in lock down, so they adopted 2 new cats and do their best ignoring what is happening outside, posting cute cat pics. It is particularly said as their daughter married Chinese man, and now their two 1/2 Chinese but American born and raised grandchildren have been abused on the street. I guess just as well they are under lockdown............ ๐
But they, instead of testing and isolating infected people let's keep blaming China for not recognizing the danger. The officials who tried to suppress the info probably did not believe the facts, but they will be executed. That is what the Chinese do. Remember when the baby formula in 2008 and dog kibble few years earlier were tainted with melamine? Those deemed responsible were shot, for death of few thousand dogs in America. .......

Better to not lock down soon as the pandenic was "known" & allow foreigners to flee and infect the entire world
Then lock down, yeah.. real sensible. He should be held accountable for all these deaths or step down..he's a moron.

They locked down on 23rd January, the WHO declares worldwide emergency on the 30th of January, it finally declared it pandemic 11th March. And YES, it would go down well if they locked up all foreigners wanting to go home.
Stirring up hate against China is not going to help anybody. Actually, we need all the masks and other PPE they are sending us.
