Re: Coronavirus update

It's believed it's a Chinese virus, but I don't buy it, There's speculation that it started elsewhere, mysterious deaths occurred on other parts of the world (before November)

But, when it's actually identified then mishandled, and even when it's down played by leaders not taken seriously

I call - moron, don't care what part of the world they're from, incompetent fools.

As for the NZ leader? Thumbs up

Signatures suck.

Re: Coronavirus update

This is interesting article about under reporting cases.  Of course, we should realize that ALL countries are under reporting.  Unless you test every person you will not know how many are infected.  And both here and especially in America, some people with even quite severe symptoms are not tested and therefore not counted.  Also in America, as people are losing jobs, they are also losing their insurance, and they cannot even afford to see a doctor when they have no money coming in.....

Well, there is nothing in that box that I particularly want or need.  Could do with other bag of rice, but that is about it; never use most of the other stuff.  I have plenty of soap; finally using all that soap people keep giving me as a birthday present.  I stocked up on pasta, dry beans and lentils since January.  What I want is some veggies and fruit.

Never mind, my masks arrived, so I will venture to our veggie shop next week.

Re: Coronavirus update

I'm in much the same boat as you, but I haven't seen flour and some forms of pasta for about a month. I do think there will be some people who will benefit from the package however.

That is shocking. And to think some of those animals may become patients who the Nurses will be expected to look after. Some people's ugliness is so disturbing.

It really is shocking if people abuse nurses; however, nurses should not be walking around streets in their uniform.  Coming home from work they might be carrying the virus on their uniform, surely they change in hospital.  I do not recall ever seeing a nurse in uniform in our supermarket.

Re: Coronavirus update

If essential services personel want to take advantage of the Coles priority shopping they are supposed to be in uniform here in NSW

Wouldn't nurses wear scrubs at work?   I have never seen them ravelling to and from work in them.
