Re: Coronavirus update

Kloo...you really have no clue...give up!

It would appear you might not either . . . my ID includes k1ooo as a play on the Pentax K one thousand (K1000) SLR camera brand . . . not a play on the word clue.

As for me not having a clue . . . just because I do not ascribe to the Alan Jones view of the nonseriousness of the COVID-19 threat does not mean I am not up to scratch on the science.

The science is currently saying that the more people adhere to the rules put in place by government and health authorities the more chance we have of containing and beating this thing.  This includes STAY HOME THIS EASTER - DO NOT TRAVEL AWAY.

Re: Coronavirus update

Icy you live in a large city with access to top line medical care readily available (at this stage).
The reason people in the small coastal towns are so afraid of tourists coming is that, so far, we have low numbers of infections. If people come from the city and infect our checkout staff, or coffee shop staff or whoever and it gets into our communities, we are stuffed.
There are NO ICU beds in our hospitals. Our hospitals are TINY and inadequately staffed. We also tend to have an older demographic than the cities.

That's why we are begging people to stay at home.  It's not to spoil their holiday. It's to protect our vulnerable communities.

yeah, well...you do that, same as the rest of us mainly do.

Those that travel away, if the stick to the confines of their own perimeter, and don't crowd anyone else, what's the harm?

Stop the feeding is generally the best way to deal with them.

Deliberately baiting others on a forum is actually regarded as worse then dobbing someone in as it's regarded

as bullying and it carries some hefty fines as well as incarceration.stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

Not having a clue is what can damage all the actions that have been put in place to slow this virus but if

numpties keep flaunting the rules it can still endanger a lot of peope.shok.gif

if they come to the coast and stick to the confines of their own perimeter, and don't crowd anyone else, what's the point? Why not just stay home?

(just in case icy has trouble with reading small text)

While the regional and isolated area I live in has good health services I feel for those with limited health services.
