( this morning my computer setup date/time was wrong , so Windows date/time was wrong, so thought maybe that was the issue as some sites are sensitive to correct time/zone blah blah , then read there was an ebay forum tech issue )

Australia started a fight with China over an investigation into COVID-19 โ did it go too hard?
after doing such a good job at a federal level handling the covid19 virus our govt got cocky
completely forgot we are a small nation who relies on china for a huge part of our income.
we need them way more than they need us
so why poke them with a big stick?
far better to sit in the pack, wait for others to make the move on an inquiry and mearly agree when the votes taken.
but no, we had to be the loudest voice, demanding.
and now we suffer
allready up to our eyeballs in debt from the virus stimulation and cash for jobs ect
we needed the income from china to help pay for all that money we borrowed.
i have to give a big FAIL to the govt on this one

scomo sold out for a few pieces of silver and a pat on the head to Trump
Trump cares less about Australia then he does America, remember when he hung up the phone on Aussie

Might have something to do with China lobbying for continued access to Australia for a continuing mass influx of Chinese tourists - at a time when covid-19 was ramping up in China .

Hopefully ! we sell our sort after premium barley to the US for 80% over our regular bulk wholesale (AUD) , then they sell to China repackaged as " golden glow premium barley" to China for 100% over the imported bulk wholesale (USD) sourced from Australia

Public displays or publicity of success tends to be met with cultural cringe in Australia and so sometimes , if unavoidable, there is a tendency for enthused representitives to pontificate to polite audiances in the aftermath - I could quote two former prime ministers lecturing the Europeans and US on how Australia successfully dealt with the 2008 GFC " The Australian Way" cringe cringe
( As if Australia could be considered as relating economically in kind to Europe and America, a point not missed on the assembled power elite judging by their pained facial expressions)
