Soon we will be coronavirus and influenza free

We will not be COVID or flu free.  Just because Australia is managing to keep COVID under control, and as we are all keeping away from each other the spread of flu has also been limited, that means nothing.  The pandemic is only getting worse in the rest of the world.  It is only matter of time before the 30 000 Australians return home, and certain percentage of them will be infected.  Hopefully they will not infect anybody else, but it cannot be guaranteed.  And nobody knows how it will mutate.  Because mutate it will.

we do not need any from the rest of the world to be here in thsi time of dangerous crisis - they are just a convenience or icing on the social/tourist cake in safe times ( accepting yearly influenza contamination, serious cases in the thousands and hundreds of untimely deaths)

Winter just ended with us being  99.7% influenza free - enjoy the good health and be ready to reimerge with hope and vigour

Re: Coronavirus update

Word on the airwaves is the UK ? release of 15 minute corvid-19 testers at US$5 a test - not as accurate as the swab but i suppose so cheap 2 testers from different batches could be used to improve accuracy statistically

Re: Coronavirus update

regarding who authorised what regarding VIC covid-19 hotel security - follow the money trail

Who paid the guards > what Govt dept paid the company that paid the guards > Who authorised the Govt dept to pay the company that paid the guards .

Once that is established you can then ascertain the specifications ( job description) for the agreed service that the funding was paying for

Then who specified the requested service

Then who authorised the specified service and who was nominated to ensure compliance

The State GCI is very efficient at ripping children off hapless parents - baby sitting hotel quaratined returned residents should have been inconsequensial  - what went wrong ?

Do you ever get the feeling you're talking to an empty room?

Given your last three posts have been in reply to yourself?

Or is simply that you can't marshall your thoughts?

This is a chatboard- it is for ' entertainment ' - you certainly are not going to solve the problems of the world here.

Just LOL.

Re: Coronavirus update

Seems the remote coastal town of Anglesea VIC population about 2,500 had had coronavirus fragments detected in waste/sewage water which implies at least someone is infected - being an isolated town and of low population - would be interesting for testing to be arranged, for everyone, so as to ascertain infection rate of hidden asymptomatic cases vs prodromal stage+ cases - and also treat all infected or confirm now none infected
