My experience 24/03/2020 abvout 8:30 - 9:00 am
At the front door C/link staff ask you 2 questions before allowing admittance - have you been overseas recently and have you been in contact with a known covid-19 case ? or words to that effect
If you answer no for both , then the rationale is that you can not be a viral threat so admittance is granted.
Only 9 clients at a time allowed in
Once in the foyar awaiting front desk consultation - you stand on the taped x , which is a couple of meters away from the other 8 x's who have other clients dolefully standing upon.
Moving up the queue means stepping from one x to the other as indicated by an arrow ( taped)
Consulting at the front desk : stand at the taped line 1.5 meters from the desk ( ala Blues Brothers film opening scene, and with about as much emotional gravity )
Most likely be directed for a specialist interview - wait sitting on a single chair placed 1.5 meters away from the next in all directions
Sounds perfect. That's the minimum of what you expected, surely.
Maybe remotre country located people have more nous to apply online or are better supported by employers or are mainly already registered ( so almsot auto update ) - hence no queues , as for me i had a detail edit issue not accessable by me , was not there for the payments
I suspect satuation reporting of seemingly overwhelming queues at c/link was to encourage people to apply online , sort of noble fake news
( Most of the teeming masses portrayed did not have the hopeless stressed out body langauge nor dress style of just unexpectedly laid off workers who have bulk but respectful debt obligfations , and being clueless first time benefit clients - more like those of long term recipients applying for additional benefit, but i could be wrong )

Freddie, you are not going to get any arguments from me. Personally, I am pretty upset with the NSW Government. However, I am all too aware of the benefits of hindsight. We are going to make mistakes every day, and most of the mistakes will be made by the public. I just hope we can learn from each mistake and try and prevent each mistake from happening again. If we can learn and get better each day we will have a chance of beating this thing will lesser fatalities.

yes, all you guys just go home and live on nothing until we need you, ok? good good.
So what would you suggest?
Planes are grounded, and empty. Few places to fly to.
Should they just fly around and around in a circle?
As awful as it is these are not the only people to lose jobs by far.
Hopefully Govt packages can help them ............
i would expect them to say 'we are in talks with the govt about the packages anounced for businesses to see if we can find a way to see our stood down workers get some kind of income during their time off work'
'we dont want them becoming homeless or starving'
the way the anouncement read it was, 'oh well, no flying we dont need you, out ya go'
