On Live Parliament yesterday the PM said there will definitely be more sittings during that time even if it's at a reduced level.
oh, ok, that sounds much better.

The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in partnership with the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation hosted Event 201, a high-level pandemic exercise on October 18, 2019, in New York, NY.

I remember back in about 1994 -5 going to The Royal Society lecture with a friend who is a fellow of The RS. Afterwards we had tea and cakes, and there group of most eminent scientists talked about the pandemic that is inevitably coming. It was in time when people were still freaking out about HIV, and these people were saying that what we need to worry about is virus that is spread in the air. Since then I saw many papers on that subject. It was NOT if, it was when. But it is just like climate change; too inconvenient to worry about. Obama established pandemic resource center that supposed to prepare for such situations; Trump dismantled it. Trump is still worried about the stock market, as the US is doubling up cases every 2 days, which means they will over take China by the end of the week.

Its total madness. There is no way I would go to beautician, hairdresser or physio. I feel sorry for them; they are small businesses. I had treatment for my arthritic shoulder few weeks ago, and I supposed to have physio, but he sees closely one person every half an hour. There is huge possibility of him become infected and infect others. I did have one session last week, but I just cancelled the next. Hope doing my exercise at home is going to be enough until we get through this, and I will not have to have the extremely painful procedure again. 😞
