Timeline of the Ruby debacle ,,,,,
Hazzard admitted that it was a mistake to allow the 2,700 passengers to disembark on Thursday without testing.
“If I had my opportunity to have my two bob’s worth, with the benefit of what we now know about those … people, I’d have said yeah, maybe we should hold them on the ship,” he told reporters.
Hazzard (a suitable name) is head of NSW Health and if anyone' shead should roll it is his. Technically the buck stops with the Premier, just like the captain of any ship wreck, etc, is responsible, but it is a paper technicality. She should be able to have full confidence in her minions .
This fool because of obviously lax protocols in place allowed 2700 to flow into Australia and infect maybe hundreds if not more. He should be put into public stocks and let the public take it from there.

I think you should refer this one to Herr Dutton and his Border Protection Forces, they "man" the Airports not the State Government

The premier would be right.
The airports are a federal, not state, responsibility. So the blame would go to Dutton and his paramilitary border force.
Edit: snap tezza.

This will all go on longer then it should because people and the government just don't get it and they show no
willingness to deal with the problem in a sensible way.
The government might just need to show what it does to people and then they might listen.
What's been happening with the cruise ships and this sort of response at an airport is absolutely stupid.
Especially when you consider those two are main known sources of infections.
Those people have to travel home to self quarantine but how many will they infect along the way as each and
everyone one of them should be at a minimum wearing a face mask to reduce any risk.
Even a silk scarf/any scarf will offer better protection than nothing.
Whenever I've had to deal with anything unpleasant I wrap a tea towel across my mouth and nose to stop part
of the smell and even it would be better than nothing.
Add a bit of essential oil on it and it also smells a bit more pleasant.

can't win
That can happen but what is more usual, i am finding, is you see a lot of couples who buy eg one pack of toilet rolls each. Since i am the designated shopper and my husband stays home, we can only ever get one of a thing but I know for a fact some households are getting 2 or 3 at the time if every member goes through.
I don't know the answer but if this is to continue for many months, then we would all be better off with limits per person per week on high demand items, some sort of coupon system like they had in the war. Maybe digital coupons?
