South Australia's coronavirus restrictions explained: The dos, the don'ts and the try-not-tos

Can my Easter trip go ahead?

To prevent the spread of the virus, the State Government is asking all South Australians to stay at home over the Easter break.

they are "ASKING"?

so if i'm only being asked can i politely say bugga that, i'm on holiday?

You certainly can. As can the carloads of people, who obviously are intimately acquainted (or soon will be), in the house down the road.

As an older Australian, I find the thought of dobbing odious. In my opinion I think the police should be hunting these suggestion breakers out by themselves. They seem to have enough time to flout the restrictions themselves, so they obviously need the work.

i'm not normally a 'dobber' either, but in this instance you cant expect a small town police force to be everywhere

i'm just amazed they havent made going on holiday a definate nono

maybe the other restrictions will cover my holiday makers, the no more than 10 gathering?

It's 2, not 10.

And it would depend on their familial relationship.

5 carloads?

Wouldn't be the same household.

The easiest way to keep track of holiday lets would be to require Agents to give a list of the houses that are booked.

The police land on the doorstep and catch them.....no-one needs to dob.

Except the agents. Who have a financial interest in the bookings being completed.

But that's in NSW and they must think they are immune as they are getting known as ignoring social

distancing to go along with the rest of their mistakes/faults.

They now have 8 hot spots of infected cases caused by unknown factors so most  the ignorance of social

distancing and leaving the hose for unnecessary reasons maybe?

in south australia i think its 10 can gather but there must be 4.5 metres of free space for each indoors

i guess police will need tape measues and calculators and a degree in mathematics

So (maybe, did you count them?) 20 related people, who the rules don't apply to anyway means they need a 80m2 house, because it's 4m2 per person. I doubt you could find a house that small these days.

this is exactly why i posed the question

its a holiday rental

there are at least 5 cars there so far, that i could see.

they are not supposed to be here.

but all i can find is several 'rules' they may or may not be breaking.

they dont live here

so they took a trip that wasnt 'essential' to get here

there may be more than 10 of them, i doubt they are all related

i think the police should be notified, if these folk have done nothing wrong, fine.
